lowg (123), Scarborough, Ontario, Canada Oct 25, 2008 Six pack from LCBO. Pours golden copper, with a nice white head that leaves some lacing. Effervescent bubble, nice aroma. Starts subtly sweet and ends boldly; a hoppy finish with grapefruit notes. Nice to have this beer here for a while, a real IPA. Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Oct 22, 2008 Almost no smell to this one but a very pleasant flavor of pine and citrus and other typical IPA brouhaha. Not one of my favorite DFH beers, but how can you compare to the 90 and 120 minute versions? It’s not fair but it is what it is. IDunno19 (78), Ames, Iowa, USA Oct 22, 2008 I really don’t see what the fuss is about IPAs but then again I like my beer dark with the hops masked by malt and coffee flavors. Still, I have to give props since they’re growing on me. Familiar hoppy aroma with floral notes and hints of citrus fruits. Drinks smooth except for that IPA kick in the palate with flavors of warm malt and hops. Hints of caramel. Would try again. yarry (370), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Oct 22, 2008 355ml Bottle, 6.0% a/v
Pours a nice fiery orange copper with aromas which are very citrysy and evergreen. The beer is very nice and very well hopped and it finishes very clean and crisp. A very nice beer, but just a bit bitter for me. I really love it though nathan30533 (138), Dahlonega, Georgia, USA Oct 18, 2008 Just a bit bitter, good look, smooth but not my IPA. Needs more taste. Pours golden with white head. Taste of a bit of bitter hops, but not dry! Again a good IPA but just not my IPA. santos999 (318), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 18, 2008 On tap at Earth. Clear gold with a nice white head. Potent pine and citric nose with cleaner, grapefruit, and peach. Bitter caramel taste with great balance. Pine, grass and fruit notes. Easy to drink, well balanced, and full of flavor. A great go to brew. rmussman (905), California, USA Oct 17, 2008 Pour is cleared light brown. Head was minimal and lacey. Very well crafted. Excellent
