BeerNeedy (60), Anchorage, Alaska, USA Sep 23, 2008 Better than your average craft IPA by a long shot. This beer has great drinkability and finishes well. 1010 (206), Marysville, Ohio, USA Sep 18, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a golden color with a nice white carbonated head. Aroma of hops and citrus. This taste great and goes down easy. You could drink a few of these, unfortunately I only have one. pacaus (49), Dublin, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 17, 2008 Great IPA. I love the taste with nice hints of grapefruit hops and a subtle pine/fruity twist. I could enjoy these all day long! garthicus (1215), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 16, 2008 After months of waiting & anticipating its arrival it finally hit the Ontario shelves last week, however us downtown Torontonians had to wait a little longer than the rest of Ontario. After days and days of refreshing the LCBO (Ontario Liquor board) website for its arrival downtown, it finally trickled down to us and it took me two days and a lot of shoe leather to finally get myself a couple of six packs. Anyhow, on with the rating. Appearance: Wonderful white head - at least two fingers thick with a golden orange body and some slight visible carbonation. Aroma: Ahh there they are! What I have been waiting on - hops.. grapefruit, some slight pine, banana & lemon, my mouth is watering. Flavour: Yippee! More hops, definite fruitiness, slight bitterness again with grapefruit and pine with a some grainy notes too. A lovely long bitter-dry finish, simply delicious. carruthm (1109), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 14, 2008 V - clear light amber brown color with little head
A - aged hop aroma
T - slight lemon taste with a malty fullness on the overriding hop flavor.
P - standard. JesseM (660), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Sep 12, 2008 Updated: Mar 7, 2009What you’ve got here: Is probably the best balanced IPA I’ve ever had. An awesome toffee malt backbone is the perfect compliment to the abundant, but not out of control leafy and piney hop character. Indeed, this is a mighty fine brew. Finishes outstandingly with a delicious sweet malty taste. Mouth-feel is great because of the moderate carbonation. Really good stuff, I was the first to get a sixer from the LCBO as this one arrived, and I’m not at all put off by the price. Everything just works together so well. Dastrn (115), Warsaw, Indiana, USA Sep 8, 2008 Poured clear and amber with a healthy 2 finger head. Smelled of citrus hops. taste was beautifully bitter with a hint of orange and bark. Mouthfeel was perfect! lightly carbonated. overall a fantastic IPA and very drinkable. just a hair less fantastic than big brother 90 minute, but amazing nonetheless!
Block (363), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA Sep 7, 2008 Hops in the aroma and flavor. Initially very bitter but gradually becomes more mellow. A very balanced IPA and one of the few I could drink all night.
