imadeadguy (378), back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA Aug 29, 2008 Pour is light copper with small white head. Aromas of pine and citrus. Flavor is watery with small hop presence. 90 min is much better and makes the 60 look terrible. Good session brew though. rbod (25), Davie, Florida, USA Aug 26, 2008 An amazing IPA. Extremely smooth and hoppy. Not quite as good as the 90, but maybe more drinkable. everettvh (34), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Aug 26, 2008 Bottle. Poured clear amber with white head. Grassy aroma, with hops. Tasted clean and hoppy, with bitter aftertaste. A great IPA. lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 25, 2008 Clear golden honey color with lots of visible carbonation and a thick slowly receding cream color head that leaves light lacing. Beautiful creamy floral hop aroma, caramel and toffee and butterscotch candy. Nice malt body but a bit of a hop let down. More caramel and a nice drying finish. Well balanced and sessionable for sure but Stone’s IPA might be more enjoyable than this. daknole (2802), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 24, 2008 When the hell did I forget to rate this? Well its good, but it doesnt even touch the 90 for me. Too bitter and not quite what i would expect from the DFH. I would think it would be woodier and a tad maltier, but still it is certainly one I wouldnt turn down if given to me! paytoplay (121), , California, USA Aug 24, 2008 Enjoyed this from bottle and tap with consistant notes. Great hop funk, flavors of the it’s close hop cousin ;) that is sometimes associated with hopped beers. Below the 90 in quality for me but enjoyable. wmubronco1992 (176), Coldwater, Michigan, USA Aug 23, 2008 Bottle - Pours a light amber. Big rich white head. Good lacing. Somewhat lacking hoppy aroma. Grassy/Citrusy flavor. Kind of disappointing mouthfeel. Not as intense as I expected based on reputation. Dry finish. Overall not as hoppy as expected. Seems like an IPA for beginners. I’m hoping that the 90 minute can provide a more intense experience. hogan873 (317), Joliet, Illinois, USA Aug 22, 2008 I have to quit saying that I’m not a fan of IPA’s. I’ve tried a few recently and found them to be good. This one is no exception. Clear amber body with a thin white head that leaves some decent lacing. Nice hoppy aroma with citrus and even a little sweetness noticeable. Medium mouthfeel with good carbonation. The flavor mirrors the aroma. Floral hops and citrus up front with a touch of sweet fruit at the end. A bit of a bitter aftertaste. A very good IPA.
