4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
My brother introduced me to the Dogfish Head IPA's in order 60, 90, and 120 minute. The 60 is the most approachable for the IPA novice, all of their IPA's are very well balanced and the 60 is a great example of what hop adds to a beer, the nose and palate distinguish it from your run of the mill yellow fizzy Joe beers without nuking your tastebuds, it is a beer you could sit on the porch on a sunny day and kill all day with friends.

Poured from a bottle. Pours a golden amber with a thin white head. Nice citrus aroma with a hint of pine. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Just a tad bitter citrus rind but a fairly smooth finish. Not too extreme in either direction. Very enjoyable.

Always a classic. Really smooth hop flavor, little amount of pine and very sweet orange. I can drink this anytime anywhere.

If I had to have one everyday beer in the fridge this would probably be it. It is perfectly balanced with a full mouth full of hop bitterness and flavour and depth of malt. Does not try to be too complex, just perfect craft beer that’s easy to drink.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
July 21, 2015. On tap at Great Lost Bear.
Amber with a small white head. Aroma is malty, herbal and fruity with toffee, biscuit, some pineapple, grapes, pine and citrus. Taste is medium sweet, quite malty with toffee and biscuits, some sweet fruit and berries, piney and grassy bitterness with a slight dry finish. Medium bodied, soft to average carbonation.
A bit on the sweet malty side...

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Flavor is strongly of citrusy (grapefruit) hops which continues into a lingering, pleasantly bitter finish. Malt in beginning and finish more detectable as it warms.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours clear light copper with white head. Aroma is citrus, typical fruit, grain. Acetyl aldehyde... not the best batch of 60 minute I’ve had. Metallic. Unfortunate.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Drinks of the World. A thick and very fruity IPA, not as light as I got to know hop-forward American IPAs. Almost meaty, bitterness far back on the tongue, low carbonation.

One of my favorite IPAs. Well balanced. Good are aromatic and flavorful. Not too heavy.
