My father-in-law, who lives in the First State, introduced this brewery to me in its infancy. I haven’t had it on tap in over a year, but it does not fail to please. It has a white pillow of a head and golden hue. The mouthfeel, bitterness, and malt balance clearly defines the work of a master, or in the very least, a guy who knows what he’s doin’. I took the Cape May Ferry into Lewes 10 years ago and ended up in the brewery (a can’t miss experience for any beer lover in the area), and it was so much fun. If you haven’t had one in awhile, go for it. Cheers!

Pours a clear golden with a small white head. The aroma has grapefruit and pine as the main impressions, along with pineapple, caramel, and some floral hops. The taste is dry, quite bitter, with just a touch of sweetness. Lots of grapefruit and pine up front, followed by floral hops, mild spices, light caramel, pineapple, and mango. Aftertaste is sharp and short, being more grapefruit and pine. Medium in body, sticky in texture, and a big amount of lively carbonation. I would classify this in my "I can’t believe I haven’t rated this" category. Quite simply, this is your classic IPA.

Pretty clear light golden, decent white head and greasy but solid white lacing. Nose is a big disappointment, malty and grassy spice. Initial taste is soft and brassy bitter, some soapy sweet pine and a bit of lucozade sport or something oddly fruity. Carbonation is fairly firm and the mouthfeel is utterly fantastic, which makes this more frustrating that it’s not even solid on some juicy hop crushdown... Finishes a fair bit of sweet peach, brassy enough again on the linger. Fairly limp. Three months old, mind. No wonder they don’t shift it over here anymore.

355ml bottle, pours clear gold brown, light haze, small white head. Aroma is light medium caramel malt, floral hop with light citrus. Not as hoppy as I was expecting, but nicely balanced, lightly bitter finish.

Rating #1613 - 01.05.2015. Bottle from San Diego. Pours a rich golden, small white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is grapefruity, cedarwood, pine, pastry dough. On the palate, similar citrus and pine zest, mild resin, mild pastry dough malt. Medium bodied and extraordinarily balanced. Lots of toasted malt complexity and a great balance of grapefruity, pine hop notes. Superb.

29/XII/15 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: n/a, bottled: X/13/15 (2015-1818) Thanks to Tim DB for picking this one up for me in NYC!

Clear blond beer, fizzy aery off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. aroma: sweet caramel malts, sweet ripe mango, lychee, pineapple, bit sugary. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, some citrus, piny, sweet caramel malts, some tropical fruits. Aftertaste: bit resinous, bit grassy, sweet malts still, fruity, quite a bit of banana, weird enough...

Poured into tulip from 12 oz bottle. Big aroma of fresh peach and orange marmalade. Taste is floral, citrus, light caramel, bracingly bitter with that perfect clean finish that begs for the next sip. My favorite IPA besides mine.

Golden color with slight amber hue. Soapy white head, not much retention and minimal lacing. Very hoppy aroma, pine and floral. Flavorb is basic for aips but nicely done. Very drinkable and enjoyable ipa. A good choice for an everyday ipa.
