Aroma of fresh citrus, sweet malt, bread, nuts and light brown sugar. Taste of caramel, roasted malts, citrus hops, roasted malts and mild diacetyl. Creamy texture and a balanced body with a dry finish that’s mildly alcoholic and decently bitter. I liked this one. BigBeer45 (688), Troy, Michigan, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 11, 2008 Pours a clear golden orange with some amber into the glass, has a nice creamy white head, there are a few off-white bubbles, leaves creamy bubbled lacing on the sides of the glass, pine needles, flowers and fruit aromas journey to the nose, malt sweetness and some orange in the background follows, sip has lots of pine needles on the tongue, malt sweetness, citrus and fruit flavors, got some orange flavor, hop bitterness permeates the palate after the finish, medium mouth feel with even carbonation, I think this is a good IPA, brewed a little more towards the hop side of things. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 9, 2008 Nice, IPA. Tastes of Hops, but not overly bitter. I almost taste lemons in it. I like that it is VERY drinkable , some ipas come off as harsh and bitter to my palette. But this is very welcoming. WolfsBlood84 (103), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 7, 2008 12 oz. Bottle - Pours an opaque goldish/amber with sizeable white head and small lacing. Aroma is earthy, citrusy, foral hops with a small sweetly smelling maltiness in the background. Taste is same, well-balanced, and smooth. Upfront tingly citrusy hops that give way to a smooth maltiness and slight piney aftertaste. Good, easily obtainable, not too expensive IPA for nice summer thirst-quenching. nworb190 (3), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 6, 2008 Bottle. Aroma: As expected, hoppy, slight citrus. Good aroma but not great. Appearance: Beatiful dark copper, light to medium head that holds. This has good (extra) carbonation (personal preference). Very nice looking beer. Palate: Clean and smooth - nothing lingering. Flavor: Balanced, smooth, hint of sweetness. A-/B+ for flavor. Overall: Excellent IPA. My first Dogfish experience was a winner. I’m off to try the 90 minute IPA. I like the Sweetwater IPA slightly better because: higher ABV, better aroma and $1 cheaper per 6PK. calgone (17), Athens, Georgia, USA

Not too full bodied feeling. Tastes very floral, sweet and refreshing. Definitely a favorite. RONCOD (106), Uledi, Pennsylvania, USA

Good frothy head. Copper in color. I can smell the hops. There was a smell that after I read the description I nailed it to Pine, I like it.
