phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Apr 24, 2008 Tastey! Pours a lighter orange colour, full white head. Aroma is soft and fruity, lots of floral notes, fruity, citrus fruits like limes, grapefruits and oranges. Pleasent, well integrated hop character, with a soft piney finish. Generous hop bite in the finish. rman18 (200), South Amboy, New Jersey, USA Apr 22, 2008 Updated: Aug 11, 2008This is a good IPA... Not nearly as hoppy as the 90 minute but good none the less. The aroma is a nice hop smell and the palate is just average. Worth a try - but if you have a choice take the 90 min. gabrielsyme (66), Ohio, USA Apr 21, 2008 on tap at dfh alehouse in falls church. Clear golden with small white head. Bitter citrus hops are the main taste. Good ipa if not too special. hoppopotamus (182), Santa Cruz, California, USA Apr 21, 2008 Updated: Jun 26, 2008A clear coper/amber beer with a small white head that disappears quickly. The aroma is hop dominated but not that strong: fruity and spicy. Some malt in the aroma as well. The taste is also hop-dominated, but without the bitterness to really make a really intense IPA. Finishes with some yeasty, malty notes, a hint of bitterness. A bit weak and watery overall, I think. Not my favorite IPA, although I do enjoy the 90 minute. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA Apr 21, 2008 Pours copper-gold with a two-finger head, good amount of lacing. Aroma is piney and floral.
Taste is bitter citrus-piney hops fairly crisp. The malts are unable to balance the hop boldness but that is typical of an IPA.
Overall a very refreshing IPA though a bit high abv for much of a session. GreenBeer (9), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Apr 21, 2008 This is the beer that turned me onto IPA’s. Looks great in the glass and has a great aroma. It’s also very smooth on the palate with great hop flavors. JohnQPublic (387), Brooklyn, New York, USA Apr 20, 2008 Updated: May 21, 2008Bottle. Pours clear amber, with a very whispy, thin white head, and lacing from top to bottom. Aroma is a bit of caramel, biscuity malt, citrus and pine hops. Taste is a combination of big, malty body, bread and biscuit, not overly sweet, combined with the firm pine and citrus hit of the hops at the end, though the bitterness waits to come on in the finish. Excellent, well balanced IPA -- went great with steak fajitas. cstuartj (305), Washington, USA Apr 16, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear coppery amber with a wonderful foamy snow white head. Tons of lacing on the glass. Nose of piney hops, notes of citrus, and sweet flowers. Attack is dry hops with a touch of sweetness. finish is very long, bitter and dry. Soft on the tongue from start to finish, very drinkable in long sessions.
