SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Apr 9, 2008 Pours a clear bright amber color with a small white head. Hops and citrus dominate the aroma, as well as the flavor. Nice bitter finish. A very good IPA that is not overdone. Definately a keeper! ksurkin (355), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Apr 8, 2008 Updated: Jan 15, 2009pours a light, clear amber wth a very thin white head. lighter than the 90min for sure. aroma is fantastic. full of fresh hops, sweet grapefruit, and candy. there is a floral sweetness in the aroma that is very unique. flavor can be best described as pure. the balance between the hop bitterness and malt sweetness is right on but there is no harsh bite that comes with many lesser IPA’s. flavors are hops, oranges, lemons, and some evergreen. goes down very smooth leaving a nice bitterness on the tougue. very refreshing. overall, one of the most popular IPAs out there and for good reason. not quite in the realm of stone ipa or bells two hearted, but very very good. Odyn (205), New York, USA Apr 8, 2008 I think this is what I had on draught. I had it with dinner, and it was very hoppy and I didn’t really like it too much, but choked a few down. Mostly to wash down my grub. Not a pleasant aftertaste nor a before taste of during taste. Not the worst I have ever had, I could finish them, but I was regretting my choice. albertane (376), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Apr 8, 2008 Bottled. This is a very nice IPA with grapefruit and pine flavours, a nice thick palate and a long dry finish. jeremyd365 (109), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Apr 7, 2008 Poured a light copper and seemed pretty bubbly. The hop smells was definitely apparent but not overly so. The taste was very, very great. It went down smooth, ended very hoppy, and had no bite. It was a very drinkable beer. I’d have to say that this and Bell’s Two-Hearted are my two favorite IPAs. I would definitely recommend this beer. Hance07 (192), DownSouth, Georgia, USA Apr 7, 2008 Pours copper with small white head. Nice hops on the nose. Flavor is nice and hoppy with a good malt background. Not overly hopped which is a good thing for me. stefanje (937), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA Apr 7, 2008 12 oz bottle from Linus Stick. Pours a 18K gold color with a medium white head that lasts only a short while. The aroma is of musky citrus and spices. The flavor was biter with herbs, citrus and a touch of sweet caramel. The mouthfeel was light and malty without being watery. The finish was short and bittersweet. Overall: if this had been an AB product I would be marveling at their milestone accomplishment, but its not, its DFH and I have much higher expectations. An OK session IPA. stetzel (22), portland, Oregon, USA Apr 6, 2008 this is the go to session beer.aroma very balancend, malt, and hops.flavor is balanced big malt backbone ,for big hop punch.appearance is golden with a very small white head.palate is very crisp.overall i love this beer,in my mind its one of the most balanced, and easy drinking beers out there
