billtheman (50), milford, Delaware, USA Mar 25, 2008 This is another excellent beer from Dogfish. Only one notch below Dogfish 90 which is only one notch below Dogfish120. Not as deep of a color as 90 not as deep of an aroma as 90 and 120 but a superb flavor just great on the palate. I most certianly reccommend this one to all who apreciate excellent tasting brews. Well worth paying more
when you don’t want to settle for macro-brewed beer. Makes me so glad I retired to Delaware, and only 20 some miles from Rehoboth beachs Dogfish restuarant. hapjydeuce (763), Del Mar, California, USA Mar 25, 2008 Pretty much your standard big hoppy IPA, I can see how this is a go-to for a lot of beer geeks where available. I tried the bottled version, nice floral aroma loaded with citrus. The Amarillo kicks up the flavor really well, and the finish is crisp and refreshing. I drank 4 of these in one session with no problem. Tasty! Brewbie (217), New York, USA Mar 24, 2008 12oz bottle. golden color, small white head. the aroma is sweeter than i expected. mmm taste heavy on the pine with a nice smooth slightly bitter finish. excellent beer HomeBrewHawk (263), De Soto, Kansas, USA Mar 23, 2008 12oz. brown bottle served in a shaker pint. Poured a brilliant pale gold. About a finger of fine bubbled head. Huge piney/citrusy hop aroma. The hops jump right out at you. Medium body. The hop flavor has a slight vegetal tang to it which dinged my rating a bit. Nice lacing on the glass. Could use a little more malt for me. Very drinkable. rcweir (119), Massachusetts, USA Mar 23, 2008 From 7-month old bottle. Hazy light amber with thin, quickly receding head. Aroma was sweet citrus, a little state (wet cardboard). Medium body, crisp. Hops forward, long aftertaste. DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Mar 22, 2008 Pretty orange/amber pour with minimal lacing. Excellent aroma of peaches and hops. A smooth caramel malty flavor with hints of peaches at first that settles into a great hoppy finish. Hop finish isn’t too strong and leaves a nice light bitter sensation. Vas19 (293), Maryland, USA Mar 22, 2008 Updated: Apr 20, 2008Tasted in a plastic cup at brewery. Nice hoppy aroma. Very smooth. Good hoppy flavor with a slight bitter finish. There are some hints of citrus too. Need to get this out of a proper glass.
Update 4/20/08: Tasted from a bottle. More woody notes this time, but same overall rating. MarcelDuchamp (6), USA does not count Mar 21, 2008 Had on tap at the DFH alehouse. Nice amber color, delectable floral aroma, but not quite as good as the 90 min. Lighter than the 90, but strangely enough it seemed slightly harsher as well. However, it is still quite drinkable, and goes excellently with a variety of foods. If you want a hopgasm though, go for the 90
