UPDATED: MAY 30, 2009 Original review in December of 2002 and evidentially updated in January of 2004: Not as hoppy (naturally) than the 90 Minute, but still a very good IPA, floral nose, spicy aftertaste, nicely balanced, very crisp & clean Re-rate May 2009: I have obviously grown as an IPA drinker over the last half decade, because my original notes were absoutely awful. The entire review was subpar and nowhere near the level of what this beer deserves. This is one awesome IPA! The beer pours a solid and clear copper color with a thick and sticky white head. There is a ton of lacing left around the edges as the level of beer-greatness disappears to the thinner depths of my glass. The nose is full of hops, but balanced with a sweet and bready tone of malt, earth and grass. The body is absoutely perfect; smooth, creamy, drinkable, savory and full of complexity and texture. The body is surreal, with a ton of hops, featuring an enourmous amount of spicy hoppiness, but balanced with grapefruit, pine, grass and earth. I always talk about that definitive DFH flavor, and the 60 Minute isn’t left out of it. This beer just has that DFH flavor, which makes it that much more enjoyable. There is just something they do or use to best all the rest. This 60 Minute is one of the best IPA’s I have ever laid my lips on.

12 ounce bottle, to me it was a weaker version of the 90 minute IPA, decent overall, but 90 is where it is at.

12oz bottle that’s been in the fridge for a long long time. One finger white head. Rust-colored body. Fair amount of carbonation. Interesting flavor. Starts out with bitterness, but there’s a sweetness that appears all of a sudden. Will have to try a fresher bottle to see if it’s any different. Will rerate if so.

12 oz. Bottle dated 5/04/12, poured 5/28/12. Sweet candy hop scent with a hint of grain. Translucent copper with little head, mostly a white ring. LIghter than medium body with a crisp finish. Taste fronted by grassy hay hop, grain note, and a big bitter finish.

3.6 Bottle pour into shaker glass. This IPA could be used as a standard to compare other IPA’s. Not because it is the best IPA: it doesn’t push the envelope. It has a nice aroma, moderate hoppiness and bitterness. It tastes very good, but it is not complex.

Bottle 355 ml. Clear golden beer with a small white head. Nose is heavy fresh grass, pine and citrus. Taste is citrus and fresh grass with moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is dry with a medium duration of the aftertaste. Good session beer.

Pours clear golden. Strange but pelasant grass aroma, along with pine, citrus, and hops. Taste is well balanced between bitterness and some sweet. A little thin. A good, not outstanding IPA. Robe dorée claire. Étrange et plaisant arôme de gazon, accompagné de pin, d’agrumes et de houblon. Goût bien balancé entre l’amertume et le sucré. Mince en bouche. Une bonne IPA.

Too much hype behind this. Extremely dry and dull taste. 90 minute IPA is far better.

Aroma: hay, citrus. Appearance: golden, clear, minimal head. Taste: light sweetness, lightly bitter. Palate: light body, thin feel, soft carbonation, Short finish. Overall: Some what dissappointing and had virtually no aroma. Average

Delicious IPA. Pours pale amber, clear with a small off-white head that dissipates quickly with good lacing. Extremely citrus/grapefruit aroma, backed by a definite coffee smell. Taste is slightly sweet, with strong citrus notes and a bitter finish.

12oz bottle - pours gold with rich white head. Flavor is caramel, grass and citrus. Taste not as bitter as I expected. This is pretty good. A fruity aftertaste.
