I used to buy this in regularly, a couple years ago, before the explosion of double IPA’s and other extreme beer and exciting hop miracle experiments coast to coast. Had it tonight on tap at a local. Pure pleasure. A real fresh, glorious, bright, yet still sufficiently weighty citrus hop classic. A real beauty.

A very good session IPA, is a little bit old world and more similar to a pale ale but a decent beer. I have to say one thing as a pretentious Melbournian, the American beers have been way ahead of the game in regards to craft beers, however their label designs appallingly outdated, lacking imagination, like a pamphlet from the early 2000’s. Doghead Fish brewery - you have great beers but please update your labels and be more imaginative, you’ll get more attention that your amazing beer demands!

amber color; fruity, citrusy hop aroma; nice citrusy, floral hop flavor with a fairly light, crisp malt base; lots of bitter hops, but still well balanced; an excellent IPA

By craft beer IPA standards this is pretty bland. Fairly strong bitterness from the hops, but not much flavor.

Dark honey gold with foamy head. Aroma is fruity and spicy. Taste - light and crisp resinous hops with notes of spice and tropical fruit. Ample bready malt backbone. Nice IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear golden with thin white head. The aroma has resin and floral hops, but they aren’t strong and after a few sips I don’t get any aroma. The taste is also light, with refreshing lemon citrus hops balanced with the malt. This strikes me as a great summer session pale ale, but not a great IPA.

Golden clear, white creamy head. Smell of dust, floral hops, some spices and malts. Moderate sweet, quite malty, more honey and floral taste; medium bitter som spice and hints of resins. Far from legend material. Since there is no date the conclusion must be that this bottle was old

Refreshing hops smell, slight citrus, hops taste dominates, too much for me...bitter citrus and nothing else..bleh not my thing

?wietne piwo...

BOTTLE 355 ML from CH-303. Bottled on 30/04/2014. Look: hazy golden-amber, off-white frothy head. Aroma: some dull hops, gooseberry tea-leaf? generic caramel sweetness, some alcohol even? Taste: Very light hop flavour, the malts on the other hand are prominent and are followed by a somewhat harsh bitterness. Not impressed, but the age might be reason.

Ambrée orangée claire, légèrement voilée. Petite mousse blanche, peu persistante. Avec de jolis dépôts. Aromatique fruitée sur le citrus, un peu pin... pas résineuse. Maltage peu présent. Levures bien perceptibles... En bouche très fruitée sur les agrumes-citrus. Un peu sucrée, avec une bonne amertume. Restant en bouche sans aucune aigreur. Bien balancée sur ce point. Carbonatation moyenne Bonne IPA. Très aromatique, amertume balancée... maltage peu intéressant. Appearance: it has a light orange color with a thin head. Aroma: smells like fruits, pine and some hops. Taste: it has citrus, fruity notes and a good bitterness. Nicely balanced beer. 3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Muggus69 (1241) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - NOV 1, 2014 355mL bottle Bottled 07/08/14 Slightly hazy pale gold body, holds good sized firm white head. Good resiny hop aroma; lots of grapefruit, candied orange, pine sap, unripe melon, with a toasty maltiness underneath. Full bodied, nice slickness to the palate combining with a creamy carbonation. Hops aplenty on the body, without going overboard - cedar, pine, grapefruit rind, freshly cut grass, woody sap, all underpinned by a good measure of toasty, lightly caramelised malt. Lingering bitterness, plenty of bite but balanced well. Very nice. Packed full of character but highly drinkable! 3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ramboraffe (604) - SWEDEN - OCT 28, 2014 On tap. Hazy orange with white head. Smell is hoppy pine, grapefruit and floral. Taste is heavy hoppy with grapefruit, pine, grass and flowers. Dry with high bitterness and medium carbonation.
