Bottle. Light orange color. Very clear. Medium head. Good retention. Aroma was crisp, fresh citrus with grassy notes; some nice caramel malt with some biscuity overtones. Flavor was well balanced and crisp. Middle-of-the-road bitterness. bitterness balanced by caramel. Mouthfeel was soft with low carbonation. Very good, but more of a session beer. This is not a put down. I have had too many "extreme" beers that fill the novelty niche. This one is comfortable and drinkable. Can I have another, please.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, bottled on June 23, 2015, poured into a glass. Clear light orange with small white head. Aroma is herbal hops, medium body, medium/light carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is herbal hops, some pine hops, and bitter finish. Famous beer, expected more.

Nice golden amber colour with a thick and crisp white head. Huge nose. Big stone fruit hop aromas with pine to boot, this smells intense. A really well balanced beer, punchy citrus and pine up front, held down by a wonderfully deep malt backbone. Quite a creamy texture and adequately carbonated, well rounded out; an excellent drop.

Bottle kindly donated by Santa SlackerMads. Unclear orange golden color with thick white head. Nice citrus hoppy aroma with zest, pines, resin and caramel. Nice citrus hoppy bitter taste with grapefruit, oranges, zest, pines, resin. Solid malty base with caramel. Long citrus hoppy bitter finish. Very tasty, well balanced beer.

One of the classic American IPAs and a Dogfish Head staple. Bottle at GBBF. Cobweb lacing, snow white, thin, long lasting, off-white head over an initially hazy, deep golden coloured beer with quiet sparkling. Aroma of yellow grapefruit, lemon peel, white bread, pineapple, hints of spruce and field flowers; less aromatically hoppy than I had expected (and hoped). Crisp, clean, smooth taste, fizzy to the point of being overcarbonated for the style, bit bready with hints of apple peel, refreshing with a smooth body and some pale male sweetishness, bit grainy too; long, drying, hop bitter finish, a bit minerally and less citrussy or piney than I thought it was going to be. Perhaps I need a fresher bottle, but in this form this was a bit of a disappointment, honestly speaking.

Poured into a tiny plastic glass in my hotel room - it was all I had available. Nice looking IPA - tangerine coloured with a big white head and good lacing - even in this drinking vessel! Body a touch on the light side but nice and frothy. Nose has pine, orange, pineapple, mango and apricot. In the mouth the pine becomes almost minty but it blends well with the citrus flavours. To be honest I wasn’t too sure when I first tasted this but it has grown on me over the course of the bottle.

Bottle, medium amber beer, decent white head that faded slowly. Aroma is malt, spruce, and citrus. Taste is malt, orange and grapefruit juice, lemon, spruce, and citrus rind bitter finish. Palate is light, carbonation moderate and fine.

Pours slightly hazy golden orange, brief head. Standout aroma - orange, tropical, faint bread. Nice effervescence on the tongue. Orange citrus, resin, subtle malt background. Crisp, refreshing, and chewy - great body and mouth feel. They call it their session IPA... its one of the better sessions.

Great awesome pine mango aroma. Poured orange clear and nice carbonation. White head. Flavor fresh hops and lighter side malts. Finishes clean and crisp. Great beer.
