This is a unique classic. It has hints of juicy citrus some berries and the malty coffee notes. That berry citrus really comes through in the taste with a piney bitter finish. The juicy quality to it makes you want to keep having another sip. You also get that same smelling similar to coffee heavy malt smell in the taste. Not to say this is heavily malted its just extremely balanced but with still an amazing hop flavor and bitterness. They definitely arent skimping at all on this one and this is a go to IPA for me when I cant decide on anything else that day.

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2016 Piney hops with citrus overtones, toasted malt backing. Thinking I had an old bottle; the hops seemed faded, the malts a bit too pronounced for such a legendary IPA.Very drinkable, though, with a smooth, crisp feel.

a personal favourite, with the perfect combination of malts and pine / stone fruit hops.

Deep golden color, white head. Aroma is fresh hops and fruits. Nice hoppy and fruity taste, fresh hops, some malty body. Good straightforward IPA.

12oz bottle. Nose is pine, caramelised orange, wood. Flavour is pine with some refreshing fruitiness with melon, orange and lemon notes. There’s plenty of cereal maltiness and, somewhat bizarrely, a little black pepper. Very little in the way of aftertaste.

Bottle at the airport. Malty, bitter. Decent IPA but I like something a bit more citrus.

Orange marmalade and pepper on the nose. I did not sneeze. There’s some tropical fruit, a bit of honey-like sweetness and a little chewy resin that is also aromatic. Beautiful East Coast IPA I could drink all day
