3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ibrew2or3 (5777) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - APR 22, 2013
750mL bottle pours with a clear deep gold body supporting a tall light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a good bit of tangelo to orange to grapefruit citrusy hops with a light degree of pine along the edges. Beneath the hop aromatics I get a mild almost vanilla like sweetness. The taste has bitter and modestly resiny pine hops along with ribbons of citrus hop flavor that rolls into some bitter citrus to midway and into the finish.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 SSSteve (3379) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - APR 22, 2013
bottle. slightly hazy gold with a small, frothy, white head. lemony citrus aroma with an intriguing sweet, nutty, bready note. wow this is different! a sweet, bready malt flavor with lots of punchy citrusy hops but without any harsh bitterness or astringency. just when the back of your tongue is about to get nailed with bitterness, the maple syrup cuts it off and it finishes smooth and sweet. unique creation.
3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 mnmike (609) - Minnesota, USA - APR 21, 2013
Bottle pour. I really think these Dogfish Head IPAs are lacking on the aromas, but the taste is still good. I prefer other IPAs over this.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 johnnnniee (1499) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - APR 21, 2013
Pours a slightly hazy deep golden color with a huge off white head that leaves lots of stickies on the way down. Smells of earthy citrus and resinous pine with a solid shot of bread and caramel to back it up. The flavor follows the aroma quite well but adds a hint of tropical fruit to the mix. Light hop bitterness with lots of flavor. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet resinous mouthfeel. Nice solid old school leaning IPA, put it into 6 packs and its a winner.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jstraw (1654) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 21, 2013
Orange with big, foamy, off-white head, fine legs / Mellow nose of citrus, pine, bread, maple / Medium body, creamy, chewy, solid hop bite, some astringency, with lesser fruit balance, and big bitter finish / Muted flavors of pine, grapefruit, and caramel, with faint note of maple / I would have expected more. Possibility that bottle isn’t the freshest?
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 AKThunder (152) - New York, USA - APR 20, 2013
This to me is an IPA for people who arent too big into IPA’s. The hops are not too offensive, and the balance between citrus and pine is amazing. Might like as much as the 90 Min.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ferris (493) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 20, 2013
Bottle - Earthy piney hops and strong balanced malts. Clear gold with a persistent rich head. As with all these versions the sweet malts are in balance with the hops. In the 75 I found the malts dominating in flavor over the pine and a muted bitterness. This is not a fresh bottle which may effect the hop profile.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 allfreej (510) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - APR 20, 2013
Bottled.
Dark amber pour with a rocky off white head. Nice lacing.
Really tasty caramel malt. Citrus hops. Very fresh hop flavor from dry hopping. Nice dry finish.
Medium full mouthfeel.
Really good stuff. Couldn't really pick out the maple syrup.

Deep gold pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma of citrus and sweet malt. Flavor is sweet malt, bread, and a good citrus bitter. Medium/full bodied with good carbonation.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 johnbuck100 (166) - Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 19, 2013
Bottle- I enjoyed this IPA very much - nice hoppy aroma and flavor with the edge taken off by the maple syrup. the brewers did a nice job of keeping the maple syrup in the background and not making the brew sweet or cloying - just a slight touch to cut back on the bitterness. while i prefer the straight up 75 minute i had on tap at the brewery, this is a really nice beer. i do not think my bottle was the freshest - a fresher bottle may have upped the score a bit.
