4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampeld on cask at Rattle N Hum over the summer when they had their Dogfish Head takeover. Shouldnít be any surprise that this presentation really beautifully shows the best wualities of the 60 minute and 90 minute IPAs. The fresh crip hops of the 60 minute played nicely with the fruity malt character of the 90 minute. Too bad this stuff is so difficult to find up here.

On cask at Lord Hoboís for EBF weekend. Another one that Iíve been wanting to try forever. Outstanding aroma of hops and slight maple. Flavor is a sweet balance between maple, hops and malts. One of the best beers of the night.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
The cask gives the beer a very smooth mouthfeel as it does with most casked beers. The aroma is full of citrus. I also picked up small amounts of apricot. Piney and floral hops mixed in. The taste is grassy and bitter up front. More bitter than 60 or 90 minute. The citrus then comes through with a nice malty background. But first and foremost the bitterness rules this brew. I really liked it.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2012 "Paid $8 for this at the Dogfish Head Alehouse in Fairfax VA. Served to me in a Tulip at my request but they were serving these in standard pint glasses.
A - Amber/ golden haze, milky head about 2 fingers. Really beautiful beer. Looks like a mellow 60 minute.
S - Amazing. I had a 60 minute IPA poured into a sampler and smelled them side by side. The smell is similar yet the 75 has more honey and maple syrup sweetness. Lots of orange, pine, vanilla.
T - TONS of honey and citrus, coriander and some piney ness. Itís a lot like 60 and 90 minute made a baby and threw a bunch of honey on it.
M - Medium bodied, very simple carbonation and easy to down it or sip it. Mouthfeel improved as the beer warmed up a bit.
O - There was a heat aftertaste akin to a 120 minute but not as strong. That was the only turn off. This was otherwise a fantastic beer!"
Update: Bottle Conditioned Maple Version - My review is unchanged except the carbonation levels are much larger in the bottled edition and the maple was a lot stronger. I prefer the tap version much more by comparison.

At the pub in Rehoboth. Pours cloudy with a nice head. Light aroma of hops and maple. Light to medium bodied with a smooth palate. Sweeter than the 60 or 90, presumably from the maple barrels.

Cask at brewpub. Wow this was much better than that last offering that had the hornets in it. :) pours golden with an inch of foam on top. The aroma is as pure as the combination of citrusy hops and maple syrup can be. Itís striking. I canít recall having a better smelling beer. Taste is hoppy without bitterness. Clean finisher. This is a world class beer.

On cask at sierra, First batch out. Very exciting to get this one, pours a deep amber hue, nice head. Aromas are pretty good, hops, citrus, honey, caramel, and light maple. Palate follows with a rich smooth and creamy texture, The hops are subdued, but biting in the finish with a slight hit of the maple. Pretty impressive, but would love to try this not on cask.

On tap at Rattle N Hum. Pour is dark amber with a finger-wide off white head. Aroma is of caramel malts, candied sugar, orange peel, pine needles. Flavor is of lighter hops with a great mixture of sweetness to balance out the bitterness. Great texture, easier to handle than the 90 but more full-bodied than the 60. Amazing IPA.
