3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From the 11/2012 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a golden color with a huge foamy/creamy white head that lingered forever and left decent lacing. The aroma was semi sweet pine, grapefruit and a touch of bread. The flavor was dryish and bitter pine and grapefruit with hints of bread, pepper and maple. Medium length pine and grapefruits finish. Medium length finish. Ok but I had hoped for much better.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Smells pretty good. Looks great. Very bubbly, with a bit of creaminess appearance almost. A bubbly and lofty yet slight cream mouthfeel as well. This is pretty darn good. Even more enjoyable than the 90 perhaps.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
750ml bottle - $7.99 at Total Wine & More in Atlanta, Georgia.
Appearance: Pour gently. No, gentler than that. Iím telling you, you need to--great, thatís just great -- hazed, burnished gold body with a tall, long-lasting head stand of off-white foam.
Smell: Slices and slivers off fresh mango, pineapple, grapefruit, and sweet oranges atop sensibly-toasted biscuits marked by notes of resins, grasses, florals, and a little bit of maple.
Taste: Sweet touches of caramel and even maple paired with toasted bread, toasted biscuits. Itís a brief malty meet-and-greet, you know, a few handshakes, hellos, then, itís off to the tropical, vibrantly fruity hops cut with some floral, resinous tones. Slight grassiness. Medium-plus bitterness. Slight hint of the alcohol. Small revival of the initial sweetness before the fruity, bittersweet finish thatís just nice and sudsy from the carbonation.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Very slight viscous oiliness to the mouthfeel. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: I rather enjoyed myself. Delightful array of hop flavors smoothed with that little hint of maple and the vigorous carbonation is very effective at keeping things moving along nicely.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled on dld eve. Hazy golden with a white head. Maple in the nose with floral hops and sweet malt. Maple is noted but hops are in the forefront here. They sre floral and nice but not huge. Not really that big but pretty good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The aroma is quite hoppy with grass and citrus as well as sweet caramel malt but not much maple syrup. The appearance is hazy orange gold with a small head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is typical for the style. Overall a nice beer but pretty boring as DFH beers go.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle, shared with friends. 2012 edition. Huge foamy off-white head. Sort of hazy amber color. Some lace. Lighter carbonation, smooth, very dry texture. An IPA with a maple syrup note. Better than 60 minute (which I think is just OK), but a lot different than 90m, which is usually pretty malty-sweet in my experience. This is a unique brew from either one of those two, and itís not bad at all. Nice light sweet taste, lighter bitter. Interesting, unique and decent, pretty good brew.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
750ml from Total Wine, North Raleigh. Healthy, vigorously carbonated orange pour. Nose is sweet fruity candy with lots of herbal dry notes piled on for good measure. Nicely full mouthfeel, palate is sometimes a bit too sticky but the finish is nicely dry. The tons of dry hops definitely preserve a necessary balance in the beer, but even with this it sometimes verges on being a bit too sweet. Not bad, though.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours deep mahogany into a Sam glass. White head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Mild resin aromas. Thick maple and resin upfront turning to caramel in the lasting finish.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
DFH 750ml bottle. Pours orange hue, khaki foam, pretty lace. Aroma of Cascade hops. Citrus, floral, pine. Salted flavor, caramel malt, citrus / pine hops. Well balanced! Not much of the maple syrup character, it must have fermented out. Unless it adds the salted-like character? Smooth drinking, nice mild hoppy finish. (3675)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On cask at Friday the Firkenteenth at the Grey Lodge Pub. Pours a transparent orange amber with some light, lacing white head. Aroma is a mix of hops, pine and lemons with some caramel sweetness. Flavor is a mixture of moderate sweetness and moderate bitterness. Dry finish. If you like 60min and you like 90min, then 75min is a good marriage.
