snakeoilpete (324), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 12, 2009 On tap at Cooper’s IPA Fest. Pours clear amber with a nice lingering off-white head. Funky, earthy hop aroma with a hint of alcohol. Surprisingly stouty flavor profile- lots of roasty malts complement the earthy pine hops nicely. Mouthfeel is chewy with a roasty pine hop finish. savnac (394), Palmer, Alaska, USA Apr 10, 2009 12oz bottle. Aroma of Grapenuts™ cereal, caramel and just a faint hint of floral/citrus hops. It really has a smell of doing a mash, like popping off the lid of your mash tun after about an hour of mashing. Orange/amber with a small off white head and a tiny bit of lacing. Very nice sweet flavor cut with a bitterness that just lingers in the background. Slightly thick with average carbonation and a bitter finish. I homebrew and this beer really tastes like a cross between a finished beer and a sweet fresh wort. I really have never tasted any beer or IPA like it. Unique and delicious, try it as soon as you can. nater (10), Sabattus, USA Apr 7, 2009 this beer introduced me to imperials and how great they are.. pours a nice yellowish color.. aroma pinapple, grapefruit... taste is out of this world for being a big beer is is so smooth a love this beer MitchWayne (264), Kokkola, Finland Apr 7, 2009 Caramelly sweet hoppy nose, sweet taste and a hoppy finnish. A bit too sweet for me and the bitterness is not too refreshing. I prefer the 60 min ipa by a long shot. altehkiller (71), , California, USA Apr 6, 2009 Smooth hop flavor sets this one apart from the usual intense bitterness of imperial ipa’s. (im looking at you ruination) Strong like an imperial should be and does just about everything right. Elwood (654), Leesburg, Virginia, USA Apr 6, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy light orange with a small, white head. Nice hop aromas abound. Mostly orange, but there is some boozy fruit from the malt as well. Medium-low carbonation with a rich, full bodied mouthfeel. Citrus and boozy fruit on the palate. Surprisingly sweet but it does balance out the hops. The malt is very sweet with hints of almost a cross between honey and a simple syrup. As the beer warms, the alcohol does begin to creep out a bit. The finish is long with a lasting bitterness. One is probably enough for an evening. Overall a very good IIPA. sigma23 (217), , Maine, USA Apr 5, 2009 pours a great copper/pink with thin white head that disappears fast. aroma is floral and hoppy with a sweetness coming through. drinks almost gritty from the hops. nice malt notes come through with a little alcohol burn on the finish. great beer bluehen88 (4), Delaware, USA does not count Apr 5, 2009 i found it far too sweet but it did have a unique taste. i’ll have to come back to this one some time and try it again. i’d love to sample it at the brewery in rehoboth. however, as it stands, i like the 60 minute much better.
