Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute I.I.PA., "perhaps the best I.P.A. in America." An Imperial I.P.A. brewed to be savored from a snifter. A big beer with a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate. This beer is an excellent candidate for use with Randall The Enamel Animal! 90 ibu
Tasting Notes: Brandied fruitcake, raisiney, citrusy.
Food Pairing recommendations: Pork chops, beef, grilled fish, frites, focaccia, split pea soup, Stilton cheese & escargot.

Beer pours a nice thick dark amber. The smell is dominated by piney hops. The taste is dominated by hops as well. Minimal malt balance -- that's fine with me.

750ml bottle: Mine was bottled 12/02 and opened 4/11/04. This one poured a cloudy, dark golden color. There was a big frothy head on it, which settled down rather quickly. Some lacing down the glass. Don't know if the aroma mellowed as it aged, but it is a bit weaker than expected. Still, it has a strong hop aroma, with some lemony notes. Suprisingly sweeter taste with only a little bitterness. maybe even a little bready and lemony taste. This was really nice!

Bottle pours translucent golden, small milky white head, good lacing, and minor carbonation.   Strong hop aroma, as well as spruce/pine.   Initial taste is of biscuits, slowly fading into the hoppiness that is the IIPA.   That transition is quite smooth, and the hoppiness is quite delicious, not overly bitter, well balanced.   Finishes with a soft sweet maltiness with a hop tinge.   Very enjoyable for a IIPA.   The 9% ABV is well hidden.

cloudy amber color, small carbonation bubbles and a nice rising creamy head, highly hoppy aroma with a bouquet of hops mixed with a fruity touch; flavor is hoppy and bitter with a very faint fruity flavor – citrusy, acidic, a bit of bready malty as well

This is a real treat. It has a long and bitter finish. The aroma is very floral with hints of orange, pine and complex sweet/bitter flavours, awesome IPA

Had this as part of a 60/90/120 Min vertical tasting and loved it. Gorgeous copper kettles colour with thin off-white, lasting head and lots of nice lacing. Noticable alcohol but smooth and mild. Lots of great outdoors aromas - pine forest, meadows, floral. Very creamy and complex bitter/sweet flavours lead to a dry finish with great bitterness. Really good.

clear amber-orange colour, almost no foam, strong floral hoppiness with notes of cream, butter, litchies and lemon, very dry and very bitter, long floral and bitter finish - good stuff but hard to drink: one more us-extravagance ... - thanks to Clarkvv for this bottle

Beautiful copper in colour. Aroma was floral, piney, citrus. Flavour of pine, oranges, creamy mouthfeel, some malt and alcohol. Full bodied and nicely balanced. Finishes with a very nice bitterness and dry. The alcohol is only noticable in the finish. Thanks for the bottle Jeff.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2009 One of the best IPA’s out there. A hop lover’s delight. Nice copper color, and the aroma hits the nose warmly. This is a beer to sip on slowly to enjoy the delicious flavors.

Beautiful copper-amber color, creamy head. Wonderful hop aroma. Explosive; I like it because the maltiness can somehow support the huge hopping. And the fruity character in the nose and palate. Excellent I2PA. Thanks Philippe (Bov) for sharing this bottle.
