COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute I.I.PA., "perhaps the best I.P.A. in America." An Imperial I.P.A. brewed to be savored from a snifter. A big beer with a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate. This beer is an excellent candidate for use with Randall The Enamel Animal! 90 ibu
Tasting Notes: Brandied fruitcake, raisiney, citrusy.

Before I say anything: I really like this beer, but it is weird. Poured into pint glass. Slightly foggy yellow with thin white head. Maybe I got a weird batch, but the scent is kind of hoppy, kind of malty, and kind of wild(?), almost like nail polish ( like I said, weird). Gets malty-er as it sits in the glass. The taste is similarly odd: hoppy, bitter, maybe a little boozy, maybe a little sweet. It seems like it changes as it spends time out of the bottle. Overall, a pretty interesting, and tasty brew.

Poured from a 12oz bottle, very little head, nice deep amber, thick sweet malty flavors followed by the bittering hops which fall off quickly into a balanced after taste. It tastes, in my opinion, similar to Mudshark’s Desert Magic IPA though stronger on the bittering hops. Very malty, sweet, and bitter. Would surly recommend, hope to find this one on tap sometime.

33cl bottle from drinks of the world, Basel. Color is dark orange. Head is thin. Body is medium to thick. Taste is high bitter, and low sweet. Quite balanced. Aroma is malty, hoppy, herby, resin, spices..Alcohol is very well hidden. Deserves all the hype!

Pours amber color with an minimal head. Malty, nutty aroma with a malty, roasty taste and a slightly floral, hoppy, but not to bitter finish. Perfect carbonation. Good malty IPA with subtle floral character.

On top there is a very good tall just off white colored head. It is very thick and creamy, long lasting and makes cool rings of lace on the glass after each sip. The body has a slight hazy appearance and a golden amber color. The aroma is full of sweet malt and pine resin and citrus hops. The flavor hits you with a full bodied punch of piney, resiny and citrus hops balanced by thick sweet malt and sweet warming brandy like alcohol. It finishes with more herbal and piney bitterness. The palate has a smooth mellow carbonation with a smooth slick almost sticky texture.

12 oz bottle shared by Mike Brown, thanks! Pours a clear copper orange with fading white head that leaves decent lacing. Aroma is light citrus, and prominent booze. Flavor is malt, slight citrus bitterness, and boozy aftertaste. I need to try this fresh, this bottle is nearly 2 months old.

Nice clean golden pour with a big frothy white head. Floral aroma with a touch of caramel. Sweet malt with a big hoppy finish. A really nice beer.

Bottle (12oz): Golden color. Small Head. Very tasty. In WA this is probably the easiest Dogfish Head to find, lucky me.

12 oz. bottle. Appearance: golden color, slighlty yellow white head 2 full fingers, clear, great lacing. Aroma: floral, caramel, lemon, slightly dank. Palate: light-medium body, average to average-soft carbonation, bitter lasting finish, sticky. Taste: sweet malt, to an easy building hoppiness, expands to a full blown bitterness that is lasting and distinct. Overall, balance is pretty spot on for the hoppiness, the appearance is great, and the palate is well put together. Winning beer.
