Wow wow wow. I love this beer. From the first time having it to it now being old hat, this is a great beer. I love that brews like this, unique and bold, are making it to mainstream markets. If you donít like this beer there is something wrong with YOU. It IS that good.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled on 2013-06-19. Clear orange with a medium sized creamy off white head. Good lace and retention. Sweet tropical fruits - persimmon like, light citrus, pine, bread, caramel, spicy hops, residual sugar. Taste is medium sweet with some bitterness to balance it, but pretty mild for the style. Medium/full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Hardly any bitterness in the finish, very mellow and soft, no alcohol showing. Really nice.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle pour, clear copper, not a very significant head. Smells botanical, obviously lots of hops but not overtly citrus or pine like other imperial IPAs. Taste definitely has sweet fruits alongside the strong bitters. Can pick out the barley as well, smooths out the hops nicely. Quality IPA, not what I was expecting, Iíd probably say itís better.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle: Light amber with a hint of red or copper. Clear and good light white head. Very lifted. Clean. No piney resin. Malt dominates. Caramel, cream, touch of brown spice and then the underlying hops with fruit and just a touch of floral or spice. Off dry dim sweet. Not sour but certainly bitter. Itís certainly balance. Creamy palate. Very rich, dense and long. Massive hop driven fruit flavors.
Guess this is a classic East Coast DIPA. Very different from the California DIPAís. This is a great and I find it more approachable than West Coast IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clear amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and malt, with touches of grain. Sweetish, malty grainy and hoppy flavour. Malty aftertaste. A nice DIPA, although rather rough.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I was disappointed in this beer. Aroma was lacking, appearance was cloudy with visible particles floating in the beer. I thought it was cloying, and unbalanced. I expected a more hop forward beer, but the hopís take a back seat to the malt sweetness. Taste was accurate to the commercial description, "brandied fruitcake, raisiney, citrusy", with some tropical fruit also. Alcohol presence was subdued which was nice, despite it being 9% Alc. by Vol., overall I thought this beer was overly sweet.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Dark yellow with a small yellow-white head. Aroma is mild with grapefruit and pine.
Taste has wood, some malt with a light piny grainy body. Very smooth mouthfeel with the alcohol very well hidden. Pleasant bitter aftertaste. Really good for casual consumption.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: Golden Straw/Mild Amber Hue, Passes Most Light, White Head, Great Lacing
S: Floral, Sweet Bread, Mild Resin
T: Sweet Bread, Floral, Mild Resin, Mild Crackers
M: Great Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Sweet, Mildly Drying
Overall, the maltiness is a little sweet and the hops kind of get buried in the background but overall good.
