A big beer with a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate. This beer is an excellent candidate for use with Randall The Enamel Animal! 90 ibu

Great aroma. Great flavor and very little after taste. Also a staggering 9.0 ABV packs a mighty wallop.

Bottling date was mid 2013, so over a year past. Dark yellow to orange color, medium hazy, with a nice white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee and fruits. Taste was really sweet, with caramel, malts, bread, toffee, some citrus fruits, lemon. Sweet aftertaste, sticky mouthfeel. Medium body with medium carbonation. Would definitely try a fresher one.

Nothing short of a fantastic IIPA. Aroma is full of sweet apricot, pineapple, grapefruit , toffee, caramel malt, and hop resin. The aroma is very sticky sweet. The taste is also very sticky sweet caramel toffee, a blast of citrus hops, grapefruit, orange, lemon peel, and pine. Everything is very balanced. Finish is bitter and long. Body is relatively light for an imperial IPA. Right up there with all the great IIPAs.

Pours deep yellow with white head. Aroma combined of many things, caramel eg. and maybe som rural aromas of barnyard etc. Heavy tastings of malty sweetness and hoppy bitterness. I really like the thickness of the brew, both in its taste and its palate.

Bottled 10/13, drank 11/1. Poured clear golden into a snifter. Light, white head. Aroma is citrus zest and sweet tropical fruits. The hops aren’t huge, but the citrus and pine resin are very nice. The maltiness is a bit too much, though. A bit boozy, but not too bad. A very nice beer, and for $10/4 pack at Trader Joe’s, an excellent value.

355ml bottle @ home. Pours yellow golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is tea, sweet malt, tropical fruit and maybe some artificial candy? Flavour is sweet, not that bitter. It’s too malty and sweet but very drinkable.

On keg in the Joshua Tree Saloon (of all places), CA, 20.9.14. Clear orange/pale amber, off-white head. Nice juicy hop aroma, as well as the citrus and pine there’s some berries and a whack of toffee malt. Lots of sweetness in this one, is it fresh? Probably not but I still like it, especially a whole pint! No detailed notes, but from memory, all the usual citrus and pine with some strawberry hints and some complexity to the malt character too, definitely some warming booze. In a karakoe saloon in a 1 horse town in the desert. Not bad.

This beer is really good but as it says in the commercial tasting notes there are notes of brandied fruitcake and raisins. I can finally taste the hops I was looking for in the 60 minute but the malt profile is just something I don’t desire in a double ipa

Pours a hazy copper color with a small light tan head. Aroma is sweet malt, citrus fruit, and piney hops. Flavor is malty with grapefruit and other citrus notes, some sugary sweetness, pine resin, and a bitter hop finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Really nice and complex IPA.

4pack dogfish 90mins. Nez d’abricots sèché,caramel, des notes de citron quelque teintes chocolaté mais c’est très subtiles.. une bonne présence crémeuse, alcool bien caché , pamplemousse qui colle l’abricot sucré c’est super bien faite ,débile..
