3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 PD4Ever (93) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - MAY 10, 2012
12oz bottle dated 2/7/12 poured into tulip glass.
Aroma: oranges, grapefruit, caramel, malt, alcohol, floral
Appearance: orangish gold color with very little head. Laces glass nicely. Bubbles rising to surface
Taste: heavy sweet. Medium bitter. Mild sour. Malt backbone really comes through in the taste.
Palate: medium sour mild bitter and mild sweet on the finish. Lively carbonation. Thick mouthfeel and slick texture.
Overall: this is a great DIPA. Definitely not bitter or extremely floral. Lots of sweetness and flavor. Will get this again when I can.

Strong pine/citrus hops and an undercurrent of malts in the aroma. The flavor is piney hops, a hint of hop resin and a slightly syrupy, malty body.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bytemesis (154) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAY 9, 2012
Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small quickly dissipating head. Hoppy aroma with some pine and citrus notes, slightly sweet malt backing, alcohol notes as well. Flavor is extremely bitter from start to lingering finish; hits you like a freight train. Some malty caramel sweetness mixed in as well. I realize I am in the minority here, but this one goes to far for me, and I find it hard to drink more than one of.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 hollardustin (293) - Indiana, USA - MAY 7, 2012
Pours a nice orange amber with a medium creamy white head. The aroma is fruity, malty, citrus, and pine. The taste is fruity, malty, and hoppy with notes of apricot, strong hop bitterness, and just a hint of roast. Balanced more towards the malt than I’d like, but still a very good DIPA.
4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 b79turner (127) - Alabama, USA - MAY 6, 2012
Bottle (dated March 2012) poured into a tulip glass. Pours an orange/amber color with a small white head. Minimal lacing around the glass, with a thin head hanging around the top of the beer. Thin body, nose is fantastic! Apricots, citrus, pine, malt, everything comes together at once and the scents are very complementary! Taste is similar but the IPA hoppy ness really shines through. A great contrast between hops, malt, and fruit! Have never been a big IPA fan, but now I’m a believer!
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 lightandrhythm (45) - - MAY 6, 2012
Very flavorful imperial IPA. Sweet full malt with a hint of raisin and molasses. Solid hop bitterness evens out the sweetness.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2012 A well-crafted imperial IPA.
Pours amber copper with little head. Abundance...sorry, ridiculous amount of barley! Hop is there but it plays second fiddle. This is really more of a barley wine than IPA. Good weight on the palate. Smooth finish.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ANGRYCPA (40) - - MAY 4, 2012

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 tpb3jd (36) - University Place, Washington, USA - MAY 1, 2012
Aroma of sweet grass with hints of clove; beautifully mild sudsy head and clover honey body; taste and palate is where this IIPA really shines, with intense hops and rich tone. A pleasant palate wrecker.
