fredandboboflo (1394), East Setauket, New York, USA Nov 30, 2008 Bottle, consumed about a month after bottling. Aroma of bready, almost doughy malt, and an odd concoction of hops, floral, perfumy, grassy, maybe some woodsy spiciness in there. Flavor gets rather unpleasant with the odd, semi-spicy, semi-floral hops not meshing well at all with the intensely bready malt. Just didn’t agree with me, though I know I’m in the minority. GreggG (19), Spokane, Washington, USA Nov 28, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Tons of floral hop notes in the aroma. Nearly no head, just a ring of white bubbles around the perimeter of the glass. Appearance is clear with a lovely dark orange color. Long finish with a strong bitterness of grapefruit. Excellent IPA. beeranarchist (184), Aalborg, Denmark Nov 27, 2008 Bottle. Golden with white head. Fruitish hop aroma with some cabbage, apricot and resin. Very oily, almost like syrup. Bitter but also very sweet flavour. A bit to oily and sweet, but still very good. chimaybier (51), Redding, California, USA Nov 21, 2008 12. Fl oz. bottle bought at Raja Liquors in Livermore, CA. The pour- light Caramel color, great head retention. Bouquet- great hoppiness, excellent diacetyl. Palate- The malt-hop balance is very smooth, many IPA’s tend to be way overhopped just for the sake of, "Hey man, you should see all the dry hops that we add in this beer!" Finish- good hop bitterness, nice malt. A great IPA. pressboxjoe (69), , New Jersey, USA Nov 2, 2008 Bottle. Golden amber with thick, foamy white head. Aroma of hops, lime, peach, banana. Luscious creamy body fills the mouth, gathers response from all over the tongue. Hops well balanced with malt for a full woodsy flavor. Plenty of alcohol. Bitterness does linger. I’ve been drinking a case of this so as far as I’m concerned I’m living large. DomCharbonneau (2), , Quebec, Canada does not count Nov 1, 2008 Bout 12 oz, 7.8 Degrée C.
1010 (206), Marysville, Ohio, USA Nov 1, 2008 Pours a cloudy dark orange color with a thin head. A nice mix of fruit and hops. Really a great IIPA
12 oz. bottle ajwilliams (118), , Indiana, USA Oct 31, 2008 Updated: Dec 1, 2008Starts off sweet, with the hops bringing up the rear with attitude. Well balanced nonetheless. Worthy of its hype, and a huge success for a great brewery.
