badinplaid (103), USA Oct 31, 2008 This is the real deal. I have had this on tap and in bottle, and both are superb. This is what an IPA is all about, hoppy, great aroma, good head. Pour this into your favorite goblet and enjoy it. jebb12 (39), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Oct 31, 2008 Pours the color of burnished cooper with an intesely delicious smell. In fact intensity is a good term to describe this beer; intense hop and malt flavor, intense crispyness, intense alcohol finish that leaves almost a sugary feeling going down. I would give it a higher rating but for the fact that everything’s explicit and ’in your face.’ In other words it lacks sublety like many American beers. dirt55 (150), Washington, USA Oct 30, 2008 bottled, pours clear bubbly tan/light brown with white head, 100% aroma of floral hops, full mouth of raisins and alcohol, very light hop, sweet palate LilBeerDoctor (1480), East Setauket, New York, USA Oct 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear dark orange with a thick, off-white head. Aroma of bitter garlicy and grassy hops and toasted malt. Flavor is quite toasty with some grassy icky bitter hops. Apparently this used to be good in the past when they bottle conditioned it, but it’s not a very good IIPA right now...so why do people rate this so high??? There are SO SO SO many better IIPAs out there!!! jonno (538), Brisbane, Australia Oct 27, 2008 A great solid IIPA just piped by the ruination. Pours witha bubbly head. Strong floral hops on the nose and a good alcoholic finish. Can’t say anything bad about it luttonm (274), Belgrade, Serbia Oct 27, 2008 12oz. Hard to say more than the epitome of an ipa. Aggressive hops but lots of sweet malt to balance. Sticky but not syrup. Not extreme, not perfect, but everything you could want. Pinball (2685), Allerød, Denmark Oct 24, 2008 bottle, bought at ølbutikken, cph. denmark.
ar:hoppy, fruity, raisins.
nice amber, small light brown head.
flavor is sweet and hoppy, slightly fruity, aftertaste is very very good, You need to drink a good deal of the bottle before all impressions settle. also watch out for temp. A very good ipa, but not more than ’’somewhere’’ in the best 10 i’ve had. i’d like a more solid mouthfeel, a less barleywineish aroma, a stronger aroma, and better looks.
