branspra (204), Arlington, Virginia, USA Sep 1, 2008 On tap at Dogfish Alehouse in Falls Church, VA. Wonderful aroma with fruits, herbs, and citrus. Easy to drink with a long aftertaste. Highly recommended. PolakPorter (82), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 31, 2008 Aroma is all citrus, weed and sweet fruits. Enticing. Nicely hopped, far from overpowering. Taste is dominated by sweetness, not as bitter as I would have liked. Excellent IPA to be sure, however, far from my favorite. MartiniFiend (104), Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, USA Aug 31, 2008 Bottle. Amber in color with a medium head. Lots of lacing. Hop and barley aroma. Thick palate. Flavor is a hop start followed by a heavy barley punch with a bitter finish. You wouldn’t know it has a 9% ABV by the taste , the did a good job of hiding it. PhatB420 (125), Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA Aug 31, 2008 A little sweet for me, which was suprising after all the expectations and the price. I was looking for somethiing more hoppy, with a brilliant finish at the end. Nothing too bad here, but for an IPA, and imperail, i was looking for something a little more uplifting. Not a bad beer. IPAgain (8), Fleming Island, Florida, USA does not count Aug 29, 2008 Amber, brilliant color, thin tan head, caramel nose - big flavor with heavy bitterness to come - very likable, but maybe more with slightly less bitterness in end. SacSirPlato (19), New Buffalo, Michigan, USA Aug 26, 2008 Nice light copper pour. Weird hoppy aroma. I think I like it! Malty. Hoppy. Sweet and sticky. The crazy hoppy flavors are subdued by the malt. The carbonation seems just about right here. Very nice. Meikman (5), Allston, Massachusetts, USA does not count Aug 26, 2008 Updated: Aug 27, 2008One of my favorites, for sure my favorite IPA. A hint fruity, with a great hop finish. I can taste it just thinking of it. ewestern (198), Ohio, USA Aug 25, 2008 Hop filtered at Dayton Alefest - Amber color with an off white head. Very hoppy aroma. Hoppy citrus flavor with a note or two of honey. Sharp bitter start on the tongue with a bitter finish that does not hang around.
