iride15 (169), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 23, 2008 Really good IPA. Poors a dark amber with a strong aroma full of many flavors. Bitter finish left something missing, but a great bottled IPA. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Aug 23, 2008 A Mes rate: bottle from somewhere in Brooklyn. Gorgeous clean amber colour with a lovely white head that can be resurrected with a swill at any point. This is what I love about U.S. IPAs and it kicks the ass of the 120 any day. Amazing resinous and piney hoppage with notes of freshly harvested ganja. Slightly cheesey but in a really good way. Beautiful biscuity malt base supports it gloriously. Big bitter and almost stinging finish that is, dare I say it, almost restrained and just very well pitched. An absolute cracker. mike5203 (33), Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 22, 2008 Another I have been waiting to try, It did not dissapoint. The aroma was complex, it seemed to go in several directions but the taste was what I expected. It was an explosion of hoppiness that quickly balances out and makes you want more. It is another super brew from dogfish Head. EHopper (274), Minnesota, USA Aug 22, 2008 Tasted while on vacation in CA. Thanks Jeff and Jeremy! Beautiful dark amber color. Aroma of exotic fruits, honey and malty bread. Citrus and pine with apricot and dark honey. Understated bitter finish with a bit of sour as well. A beer you taste over and over, getting something different each time. scoth (266), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Aug 22, 2008 Pours a thin but lasting head on a clear medium-amber body, good lacing. Big hop aroma, amazing; like fresh-cut grass and dandelions. Medium mouth-feel, very balanced. The flavor sneaks up, smooth, innocent and mild, then smacks you in the face with a rush of flavors, a hint of fruit, and a bounty of wonderful hops. Strong hoppy after-taste fades quickly into a pleasant mellow dryness. hamsterglory (48), Bryan, Texas, USA Aug 21, 2008 overly-ripe banana peel yellow head thickly resting on top of nectarine color ale. no bubbles. aroma insinuates rivalry between hops and malts. overbearing mouthfeel. citrus hops rush forward, dressing my teeth and tongue in a malty-patterned sweater impossible to remove. malts eventually win out - even over the abundance of hops. lacing on the cup counts my sips - at the very least ten partakings - lining my glass in shadowy white air and froth. this beer showcases the usual complexity of dogfish head brews - often times too ambitious for enjoyable drinkability. stobbe74 (655), Denmark Aug 21, 2008 Bottle, 12 fl. oz. Pours a clear orange yellow beer with a white to off-white head. The arome associates to a wet dog and dry sweetness. The flavor is flowers, sweet and bitter. Great body and a nice bitter mouthfeel. Overall this IIPA is above average, might wanna try this again. eli723 (10), San Diego, California, USA Aug 20, 2008 Very heavy, syrupy, IPA. Trying for too much in my opinion. Almost like the fermentation was incomplete - so much residual malt. Over-rated.
