Russo (595), Campinas, Brazil Aug 7, 2008 Updated: Sep 19, 2008Bottled@ Martys. Amber color with a nice white head, creamy a lot. Aroma is sweety, hoppy and citrus. Flavor is quite hoppy with a smooth sweetness finish. Mouthfeel is well balanced bitterness and swetness. Amazing!!! esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Aug 7, 2008 Semi hazy amber with a tan slowly dissipating small head. Aroma of heavy citrus and floral hops, sweet malt and mild alcohol. Flavor of citrus, alcohol, sweet malts. Decently balanced with a sweet dry hoppy finish. Perhaps too sweet but overall it was decent even though I’d probably give the nod to the 60 minute over this one. euserphriendly (163), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 6, 2008 Bottle. Perfect color and head. Some hops aroma, but very restrained in the bottle. This beer is well balanced, not overly sweet like some IIPA’s. I have had this on tap in the past and it is much hoppier when poured from the keg. gkao007 (26), Jersey City, New Jersey, USA Aug 5, 2008 My first sip was something magical.
It was like kissing a girl for the first time. Sensations raced through my veins, and like Remy in Ratatouille describes it, "flavors exploded in my mouth".
A parade of tastes marching on my tongue.
Pairs very well with dishes with garlic and strong flavors. I’m going to attempt pairing this with Kalbi (Korean BBQ).
Charcuterie would also work well I think. dogfish120love (250), west hartford, Connecticut, USA Aug 5, 2008 Very good imperial IPA. one of the best. very hoppy. you can definitely taste a hint of raisin with a crisp grapefruit esc finish HughConway (364), Alabama, USA Aug 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with thin head. Hop aroma, malt taste. Very, very well done IPA but overall doesn’t live up to the hype. Chipper (179), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 3, 2008 Updated: Sep 24, 2008Hazy amber with minimal head. Very similar to the 120 minute, but noticeably smoother. Still big hoppy flavor yet smooth to drink. mcmd (130), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Aug 2, 2008 Pours clear golden amber with thick off-white head which fades to a sudsy film. Aroma is heavy on citrus and floral hops, honeysuckle. Flavor is very complex with the hops up front balanced by a sweet malt and honey in the middle with heavy grapefruit bitterness at the finish. Somewhat spicy/zesty mouthfeel. This was the one that got me hooked on imperial IPA’s.
