fluffy (229), Florida, USA Sep 26, 2009 let me first say im not an IPA person. its not my style. however, for an IPA its very good. flavor is heavily grapefruit oriented, and hey even i like eat a grapefruit from time to time. i can see why this is so popular, byt not really my thing all the same. but very good for what it is. Weedking4 (33), Stratford, Ontario, Canada Sep 25, 2009 12oz bottle.Pours a dark amber red colour. Not a bad beer, I noticed a slight alc.% burn in the after taste though. Only thing knocking it from a higher rating for me. Maybe i’m just not ready for it yet, but solid over all. Macadem (100), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Sep 23, 2009 My only real complaint of this is that it smells a little sweet when its first opened. It does however dissipate in time, and not alot of time either, happily. This is one hoppy beer! And damn tasty too. Frovigalning (388), , Sweden Sep 20, 2009 It poured a hazy dark golden liquid with a small foam with big bubbles. It had a strong smell of caramell, hops, citrus and grape. It had a very round and smooth mouthfeel. Lots of hops, high bitterness and some citrus, caramell and grape. Very nice! Fin (3376), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Sep 20, 2009 Bottle that I picked up from Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove Nr Wantage, Oxon, consumed 19-09-09 Pours amber with a slight chill haze and a white head sits atop. There is a fresh hoppy aroma with a touch of honey but I somehow feel that the aroma has been blunted a tad by the chilling of this beer. Tasty hoppy beer with wonderful bittersweet balance. The bitterness is really quite lovely. I’ve had this on a number of occasions before but have never got around to rating it until now, a classy beer A7 A4 F8 P4 Ov17 4.0 Paulp (20), New Jersey, USA Sep 16, 2009 Poured golden with a little bit of a head, awesome aroma full of hops, didn’t taste much alcohol little citrusy, one of my favorites. cgreb (173), Marburg, Germany Sep 16, 2009 bottle - (asheft) amber orange beer with a thin white head. Aroma is full with citrusy hops. Flavou has malty sweetness well balanced with a nice hops bitterness. Mouthfeel like oil. Alcohol is detectable. gary07734 (391), Tyne & Wear, England Sep 16, 2009 Pours dark copper, lots of carbonation and very little head, just some off white froth. Aroma is strong hops and alcohol that I can get from half way accross the room, also some citrus fruit and sweetness. Taste is initially sweet, cakey and fruity, cherries and almonds, some citrus, and then a pleasant - but quite mild - bitter citrus finish. The bitterness becomes more prominant and malty as it warms up. Nice background malt and honey sweetness throughout. Enjoyable viscous texture. Lovely.
