Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute I.I.PA., "perhaps the best I.P.A. in America." An Imperial I.P.A. brewed to be savored from a snifter. A big beer with a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate. This beer is an excellent candidate for use with Randall The Enamel Animal! 90 ibu

The highly rated 90-Minute Imperial IPA delivered what was it promised as being a very rich and high quality beer. Like all beers it is all in the eye of the beholder with their individual tastes. Myself personally, I am not the biggest fan of IPA’s, but Dogfish Head still produced a very nice high quality beer. I would have to say like all Dogfish Head beers that the aroma was fantastic. A characteristic that really starts off the party and is often overlooked. It had a very nice heavy dry hop aroma and a white mostly lasting head. The beer had a beautiful cloudy appearance to it and surprised me with an initial sweet flavor in the beginning. The middle yielded a fruity touch with the common bitter finish with IPA’s that was quite delightful. A full body on the palate with a soft carbonated oily texture with a long lasting bitter finishes. I am always impressed with what Dogfish Head produces, and love their TV show on Discovery. Whatever it is that they come up with next, I will be they’re waiting in line.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a snifter. Remarkably clear, copper color. Aroma is of pine and citrus, though not as strong as I anticipated. Nice, full body, slightly thick for an IPA. Really enjoy that. Sticky on the lips ... always a welcome trait.

I’ve been enjoying this for years, including having a sixtel keg as my first on my kegerator. Into a Delirium Noel glass, pours gold with head and lace. Aroma of light malts, grains, slight fruit rind, fresh bread. Medium carbonation and significant mouthfeel. Flavors of rich grains, white grapefruit rind, straw hops, light malts, slight citrus and spice. Overall full bodies, flavorful, and quite tasty.

Keg at the hanging bat. Pours hazy amber, nose is sweet toffee, piney, taste is similar, dry, sweet, fruity, much better after it warmed.

This is a big bruiser of a beer. Big hops in the front, middle, back and in between. Malt notes and hints of raisin and fruit. Fairly complex for an IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I poured it from the bottle into a pint glass. It pours a copper color with a big and fluffy off-white head and lacing. The aroma is strong floral hops and biscuit. The taste is big on hops with some sweetness and some bread. It’s nice and dry with lots of bitterness. This was very tasty.

Keg at Buxton Tap House. Slightly hazy orange shade. White head and lacing. Red berry fruity, caramel, sherbet. Relentlessly bitter. I like a bit of sweetness in a DIPA but there’s little to be found here. However, this drinks like an archetypal example, so I can see why people like it so much.
