3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is malt driven and initially biscuity. There is some candied grapefruit rind and black pepper. Darker amber with gold edges. White head becomes a ring leaving splashy lacing. Bt his beer has great blance, the malt has a presence in the taste, really makes the word imperial seem justified. The hops slide into the taste profile riding a wave of malt. Bouncy citrus hops round out the initial malty biscuit caramel. This behemoth is insanely drinkable.

Bottle on Celebrity Millennium Fresh sticky beginning. Lots of hops on a sweetish body. Round and fresh, but a bit too sticky. The hops are intense in the aftertaste, sticky and smooth. Nice.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
355ml bottle, pours clear gold with a small head. Aroma is caramel malts, pine, floral hops, citrus. Finish is beautifully balanced with no big hoppy bitterness, just a nuanced light bitterness balancing the sweet malts perfectly. So drinkable for a 9%. Great beer.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Disappointed. At 90 IBU’s I was expecting a wonderfully bitter bite, but instead I got a mouthful of sweet malt. Definitely prefer their 60 minute IPA. This 90 min. is hoppy, but malt-heavy for an IPA.

Still working my way through the top 50 IIPA list, but I’ve yet to find one I like better than this. So smooth, you hardly notice the high alcohol content. I always have some of this in the fridge, and it’s my benchmark for a good IPA, the close it gets to this one. Love it.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Ambar levemente turva.

4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This is the gold standard for beer. The 90 minute is exceptional and far superior to the 60 minute and also much better than the 120 minute. I guess it’s the perfect balance. The higher ABV can sneak up on you since the beer doesn’t have the extra fullness feel of other high gravity brews. The color is a light bronze that is darker than other IPAs, but still in the amber-red family. The foam is an orange tan that gives a nice tickle when consumed. The initial taste is slightly bitter hops, yet remarkably smooth with just a hint of citrus and smoky wood, It rests in the mouth like a fine single malt scotch with an impeccable smoothness of perfectly balanced hops and malt with hints of golden raisin, candied orange peel, vanilla and caramel. The finish is what truly sets it apart from other IPAs. It has a touch a bitterness, but still leaves a smooth essence like sweet tobacco and refined hops. This is the beer to compare all others. While a few may be better or have more complex tastes like barrel aged and flavored porters, the list is very short.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours orange with medium head, disappearing fast, but leaving a nice lacing on glass. Aroma: a burst of peach and mandarine, followed by some herbs and pine tree. Taste: malty sweetness comes first, followed by a nice hoppy counterbalance (herbs, citurs) and a nice mid- to long hoppy palate. Very good, dangerously drinkable.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rating #1575 - 21.03.2015 - On tap at Larry’s - Venice Beach. Pours a darker amber, with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is citrusy, soft fruits predominant. Taste is extremely hoppy, lots of cool citrus notes - mild tropical, mild pine, mild orange zest. Huge toffee, caramel, raisin, plum pudding malt bill adds a pile of sweetness, zesty hops and sharp bitterness. A lovely DIPA.

Ámbar limpio y espuma marfil compacta. Aroma especiado, caramelo, toque cítrico. Cuerpo denso, inicio maltoso, con sabor de pino y resinas hasta un final de amargor intenso.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour to taster snifter. Deep gold pour with thinner-than-average head. Nose is bready, syrupy cherry, grapefruit, flowery perfume, pine. Ripe flavor with a barleywine alcohol/malt combo running along the base of the palette, apple, orange rind and juice, resiny sugar, tea-like flavors. All in all, not my cup of tea for an imperial. Definitely some clove-y belgian yeast mingling somewhere in it. Not the best IIPA by far, but enough complexity to give a nod to. A bit too clingy and not enough cleanliness. If you like your residual-sugary resin, grab this.
