Just like the 60 min IPA, I love this beer. Nice color, very hoppy taste. I drive 2 hours to buy this beer, well worth it.

On keg in the Joshua Tree Saloon (of all places), CA, 20.9.14. Clear orange/pale amber, off-white head. Nice juicy hop aroma, as well as the citrus and pine there’s some berries and a whack of toffee malt. Lots of sweetness in this one, is it fresh? Probably not but I still like it, especially a whole pint! No detailed notes, but from memory, all the usual citrus and pine with some strawberry hints and some complexity to the malt character too, definitely some warming booze. In a karakoe saloon in a 1 horse town in the desert. Not bad.

This beer is really good but as it says in the commercial tasting notes there are notes of brandied fruitcake and raisins. I can finally taste the hops I was looking for in the 60 minute but the malt profile is just something I don’t desire in a double ipa

Pours a hazy copper color with a small light tan head. Aroma is sweet malt, citrus fruit, and piney hops. Flavor is malty with grapefruit and other citrus notes, some sugary sweetness, pine resin, and a bitter hop finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Really nice and complex IPA.

4pack dogfish 90mins. Nez d’abricots sèché,caramel, des notes de citron quelque teintes chocolaté mais c’est très subtiles.. une bonne présence crémeuse, alcool bien caché , pamplemousse qui colle l’abricot sucré c’est super bien faite ,débile..

Pour is clear amber with a golden touch. Head disappears quickly. Nose is heavy dark fruits with a lot of dough. A bit boozy. In the mouth, it’s an IIPA with a heavy body, a long medium pine bitterness and a huge malt sweetness. Fresh bread and dried apricots. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Nice head and a wealth of aromas! Bananabread, caramel and toffee, citrus, dried fruits. Taste is enormous and this complete and full ale deserves to be sipped. Extremely well-balanced and the alcohold is quite hidden.

"solid, but i must admit, i was a little underwhelmed by this one. for the reputation that DFH has, particularly this beer, i was expecting way bigger aroma, bigger hops, bigger flavor...this ones just "good". i’ll try again some other time...maybe i got an old batch... 3/09 - retried a fresher one...better, but still not of my favorite 2IPAs. too much sweet malt and fruitcake, still quite good, just not on par with it’s rep. 8/10-the brandied fruitcake aspect really starting to grow on me. for the first time head to head i liked 90 better than 60."

Very good IPA. Golden color and pours with little head. Taste is complex. Starts with a unique fruit flavor and finishes with a slight bitterness. This IPA also comes with a nice kick.

Muted. Sweet malty. Dead. Now I do not know the date of the bottle but it was not a repeatable adventure. Disappointing. I like fresh lively bright iIPAs and this is not one of them. Sad:(... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice copper color with just a hint of cloudy haze; very small light tan head. The hops are surprisingly subdued for an imperial IPA. Some malt and sweetness. Hops have a little pine to them but also some fruitiness that provides some nice interest. The taste is mostly consistent with the above aromas except that there is a pretty prominent honey-like sweetness. Full bodied with just a little bit of an oily mouthfeel. Really nice long complex finish with the hop bitterness, honey and fruit. Overall this is an exceptional beer. It’s pretty sweet but it works due to the hop balance and overall complexity.
