3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A - Pours an amber copper with a 1 finger white head that dissipates quickly. Little to no lacing.
S - Nice caramel malt with some floral pine and alcohol coming through. It kind of reminds me of Hobby Lobby.
T - Sweet buttery caramel malt with a slight fruity character. The hops are assertive and have a kind of a candy bittering. Oily pine and citrus comes through to even out the heavy malt.
M - Full bodied with moderate carbonation.
This is the 4th time I’ve had this beer and the malt always surprises me. I always thought from looking at reviews that this would be all hop and little malt. This beer is quite balance with the malt presence almost having a slight edge over the hops presence. Although this time the beer seemed to be significantly less hoppy that the previous three. The first 2 ties the lacing was incredible. The last 2 weren’t that great. The bottle says 8/20/10 so it makes it less less than 2 months old. I don’t know. Seems a little different every time.

Bottle. Dark color for an IPA. Nice hoppy balance with a smooth finish. I've had 70 minute IPA. I guess that extra 30 minutes was well worth the wait.

A beautiful beer, this is all about the dance between hops and malt, bitter with a large amount of caramel, herbal, boozy notes. Smooth, we’ll balanced, and hides the alcohol well

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle. This is a decent double IPA, although it could be hoppier (wish I could find a bottling date). It is fairly malty for the style, although not cloyingly caramel sweet and you definitely can’t tell it is 9%.

One of my favorite DIPA’s so far, beautiful glass of beer, nice color great head retention, aroma gets better as it warms as do the individual flavor notes. This beer is still tasty at room temperature! Great malt choices blend with the hops to produce a very smooth, high bitter nutty flavor finish that keeps you asking for another round. Have to check myself with this beer as it can put a decent buzz on you fast.

Bottle: Its a very decent imperial IPA, the mouthfeel is rather refined , aroma like burnt orange skin, sweet, and very well balanced to the IBU, I think alot of people would love ending their meal with this beer, sharing it with mates, and those who dont belong to the table at 3am !!
