4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a nice red-gold, smells strong and great. Not my go-to beer, but I wonít hesitate (even for the 11 dollar price) to buy it if itís available. Tastes really balanced, itís amazing that there are 90 IBUís in this beer, given that it doesnít taste bitter at all, mostly because DFH uses a lot of malt and it creates a pleasant semi-sweet flavor that lingers throughout the entirety of the taste. I think even someone new to craft beer would like this IPA, itís that great.

4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
I go to this beer as a standard. Its the best brew you will find. At 90 IBU, you barely notice its bitter nature. It has such huge malts, but it is so balanced you will only a perfect finish. After over a hundred IPAs, I still go to DF 90 when nothing else seems to work. After a 4 pack of these bad boys youíll be feeling great, I promise! Plus they are so easy to drink because they are so well crafted. Be careful on this brew, do not drive! Take care friends.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Definitely not a west coast IPA. Some serious sweetness in this one, at least for an IPA. Pretty good, but I prefer the citrus and tropical notes of the west coast style. Very creamy mouth feel, which is awesome.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle on my balcony of the Shore Hotel, overlooking the Pacific, that was probably the highlight of this number acquired from Surf Liqour Santa Monica, 16/04/14.
Clear golden amber with a moderate off white head that retains well.
Nose is caramel malt, straw, bitter grapefruit, bitter orange.
Taste is caramel malt forward, orange pith, bitter citric tinges, straw, light grapefruit, pinch of spice.
Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close laced with hop bitterness.
OK DIPA but canít see how this acquires such high scores. Iíve had this many times in the past prior to joining RB, including on tap at Rehoboth and remember it being far better than this, perhaps an old bottle?

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A gorgeous beer. Radiant orange amber. Lasting Large frothy white head leaving lots of lace. Clean delicate hoppy nose balanced by malt. Fruity. Earthy. Floral. Grass. Caramel. Medium body. Great mouthfeel. Soft. Flavor is a complex bounty of hops and malt. No booze to speak of. So balanced. Semi-sweet. Not very dry. Moderate bitterness. Very smooth.

Aroma reminds me of the lake in the summer. Sweet, fruity, hoppy.
Taste is beautifully smooth hops and fruitiness. A little dark fruit. Sweet, slightly bitter finish.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
From 341 ml bottle. Pours a deep but clear orange amber with a small but lasting white head and gentle carbonation. Aromas of tropical fruit, lemon, sweet biscuits, walnuts and a touch of cardamom. Taste is dominated by firm citrus bitterness with lemon peel and grapefruit notes. That gradually slides away to gentler flavours of apple, sweet malt and spice. Lingering spicy aftertaste. Great.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours a dark murky gold. has a malty nose for a double IPA. taste is spicy and malty, rather sweet too. not especially hoppy for a double IPA. not my idea of an ideal DIPA, but enjoyable nonetheless.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a classic light amber color. Highly carbonated with a thick, foamy off-white head with lots of lacing. Not a big aroma. Hints of hops and flowers, but pretty subdued. The flavor is not subdued. More bitter than sweet from the start, this is more complex than it first appears. It starts a little on the cloying side but quickly blooms from its fruitcake and black licorice into a seriously bitter experience. Great mouth feel and very dry finish. Very good IIPA.
