Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute I.I.PA., "perhaps the best I.P.A. in America." An Imperial I.P.A. brewed to be savored from a snifter. A big beer with a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate. This beer is an excellent candidate for use with Randall The Enamel Animal! 90 ibu

Una IPA bonissima, els llúpols i les maltes estan molt ben equilibrats, els 9 graus no es noten gens. Una IPA buenísima, los lúpulos y las maltas están muy bien equilibradas, los 9 grados no se notan.

I go to this beer as a standard. Its the best brew you will find. At 90 IBU, you barely notice its bitter nature. It has such huge malts, but it is so balanced you will only a perfect finish. After over a hundred IPAs, I still go to DF 90 when nothing else seems to work. After a 4 pack of these bad boys you’ll be feeling great, I promise! Plus they are so easy to drink because they are so well crafted. Be careful on this brew, do not drive! Take care friends.

Definitely not a west coast IPA. Some serious sweetness in this one, at least for an IPA. Pretty good, but I prefer the citrus and tropical notes of the west coast style. Very creamy mouth feel, which is awesome.

Bottle on my balcony of the Shore Hotel, overlooking the Pacific, that was probably the highlight of this number acquired from Surf Liqour Santa Monica, 16/04/14. Clear golden amber with a moderate off white head that retains well. Nose is caramel malt, straw, bitter grapefruit, bitter orange. Taste is caramel malt forward, orange pith, bitter citric tinges, straw, light grapefruit, pinch of spice. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close laced with hop bitterness. OK DIPA but can’t see how this acquires such high scores. I’ve had this many times in the past prior to joining RB, including on tap at Rehoboth and remember it being far better than this, perhaps an old bottle?

A gorgeous beer. Radiant orange amber. Lasting Large frothy white head leaving lots of lace. Clean delicate hoppy nose balanced by malt. Fruity. Earthy. Floral. Grass. Caramel. Medium body. Great mouthfeel. Soft. Flavor is a complex bounty of hops and malt. No booze to speak of. So balanced. Semi-sweet. Not very dry. Moderate bitterness. Very smooth.

Aroma reminds me of the lake in the summer. Sweet, fruity, hoppy. Taste is beautifully smooth hops and fruitiness. A little dark fruit. Sweet, slightly bitter finish.

Served: 12 oz bottle Look: clear dark honey Smell: fruity, no alcohol Taste: first sip was smokey, woody, transitions into more bitter flavors. Alcohol taste comes out more as it warms up. Feel: nice amount of carbonation Overall: First drank: home Decatur March 2014

From 341 ml bottle. Pours a deep but clear orange amber with a small but lasting white head and gentle carbonation. Aromas of tropical fruit, lemon, sweet biscuits, walnuts and a touch of cardamom. Taste is dominated by firm citrus bitterness with lemon peel and grapefruit notes. That gradually slides away to gentler flavours of apple, sweet malt and spice. Lingering spicy aftertaste. Great.

pours a dark murky gold. has a malty nose for a double IPA. taste is spicy and malty, rather sweet too. not especially hoppy for a double IPA. not my idea of an ideal DIPA, but enjoyable nonetheless.
