Nice lace, good hop balance not very bitter just very flavorful. This beer works well for rookies looking to sample a hoppy beer and for hop heads who love to taste well made hop beer.

pours clear golden orangewith a nice light beige head, some retention and lacing. toasted and caramel malts, fruitiness - red fruits, some nuts and dirt, dankness and pine, maple, herbs, booze. average carbonation, medium body - oily, sticky and semi-sweet, medium long citrusy but mostly spicy finish. interesting, nicely done but not my type.

The go to imperial IPA in the metro DC area, outstanding across the board, delicious... Drink responsibly, the amazing flavor profile masks the 9% ABV... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Magnificent. Beautiful deep copper color. Huge fruitcake notes, full and rich on the palate, super smooth even though it has real bite. This beer has everything. A beer to be enjoyed in moderation though-my only criticism is that the high alcohol does come through-couldn’t drink too many.

This is the best double ipa I’ve drank so far. Very nice on the palate and taste of citrus.

Golden amber with foamy head. Hoppy caramel aroma. Smooth for a 2IPA. A little citrus with caramel and woodsy notes. Rich and malty with a hefty hop presence. Nice! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An exceptional dipa. The malt backbone really helps balance out the incredible hoppiness. I’ve had countless 90 minutes and I plan on having countless more

Truly not a bad Ipa but was not that impressed . Dont know what all the hoopla is about with Dogfish. Have drank better ipa such as Sweetwater ipa. Was not impressed with the nose or taste. Overall an ok ipa.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy medium amber. Minimal eggy heady with medium retention and lacing. Smells fruity and subtle for a 9%, apricot, cherry, subtle sweet citrus, malt, yeast. Tastes of apricot, cherry, medium bitter hop, subtle caramel. Medium carbonation and crisp. Silky finish. Lovely.

Poured from a bottle. Mostly clear copper with an offwhite head and splotchy lacing. Surprising, very little hops in the aroma - it’s sweet bread, toasted malt and apricot. The toffee and caramel malts are very strong and more than offset the hops, which are mostly piney; not overly bitter. Raisiny notes coming through as well. Excellent mouthfeel, carbonation is soft making this beer smooth and drinkable for 9%. Overall, an excellent DIPA, but a bit uncharacteristically malty for the style, but I think it works for this beer.
