COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute I.I.PA., "perhaps the best I.P.A. in America." An Imperial I.P.A. brewed to be savored from a snifter. A big beer with a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate. This beer is an excellent candidate for use with Randall The Enamel Animal! 90 ibu

12 oz bottle, consumed during a respite from crib training. Joyousness. A: Copper penny color. Aggressive pour yields fluffy foam that falls into itself quite quickly. Lasts on the rim. N: Very sweet. A cornucopia of pineapple and mango as well as biscuits and honey. Floral components. Lots of toffee, and thereís a heavy barley that shows up - like a mass produced lager. (Ironically.) T: Sweet bitterness. More pineapple, mango, and toffee. Lots of ívineí, but not much earth. The pine is more of the nut than the cone. Biting crystalized sugars. Everything is intertwined but no one component stands out. M: Somewhat light for the style. Alcohol is well hidden. O: I have fond memories of this beer because itís the one that got me into IPAs. That said, itís the bridge between the former light lager types and the heavier styles, for which it might be unfairly maligned, but to a mature palate, it starts to lack when compared with the menagerie of options out there. Itís a stalwart and good in a pinch, though.

Citrusy hops, quite a lot of caramel, straight forward tropical fruit, grapefruit being the standing out. Very well balanced, not a harsh bitterness, but would be more fruity and more outstanding. Good double IPA.

On tap in pint glass: Pours amber with a thick white head with good retention. Aroma of banana, caramel, and resin. Taste is very well balanced, the malt is present but is not overwhelming due to the strong presence of piney hops. Smooth mouthfeel, medium to heavy body, medium carbonation. Pretty nice beer but still pretty malty.

This is my preferred IIPA. A little sweetness but the citrusy hops balance it well. Not a bitter hop bomb but definitely hop forward. 12oz bottle poured into tulip.

Not a great head but lingers well with excellent lacing. Nose of sweet English malt, hops, and a slight alcohol note. Taste of sweet malt, caramel, and fruity hops. Great, full mouthfeel. Awesome beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: Golden-Honey with a two finger creamy head Aroma: Fresh cut grass with a banana creamsicle smell that becomes more pronounced as it warms. slight creamy orange with a piney backbone Taste: Pine upfront with malty bitter following closely behind. Some spice and alcohol toward the end. Palate: Creamy with some spice

12 oz bottle from Uptown Market in Beaverton, OR. Very malty nose. Thick and syrupy mouthfeel. Heavy maltiness adds sweet, earthy, and robust flavors...perhaps too robust. There a lot going on in this beer, including a powerful alcohol content. Much like the 60 Minute IPA, the focus is not placed upon the hops, but they are still definitely there. I would still prefer a fuller hop profile to balance out the strong malt flavors.

At just on cool and into a snifter. A March release so fingers crossed. Magic appearance. Burnished copper, bright as bright, with a fine bead. Head is a plume of snow-white foam that holds and daubs a thick lace. Aroma of toffee brittle, pale, rock candi, orange marmalade, pine-needles, tree sap, burnt toast and a thick perfume musk. Quite full bodied, oily and viscous with low carbonation. Heated, íHOTí, liqueurish finish yields plenty of plum, apricot and peach notes that come of as fortified more than raw and fresh. Yeasty, bready mid-palate with sticky orange marmalade and plenty of toasted malts. Light on in the bitterness regime. Some peaking peppery notes but very little else. Pretty simple and straight forward. Will need a fresher sample to compare but at this stage canít see passed it boozy character. Sweet, cloying and fuelled by fusels. (12fl. Oz, Bottled 25/03/14, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)

GBBF 2014 on 13-Aug. Bottle, poured into a large glass. Good head and carbonation. Malt character, full bodied and bitter. Caramel and medium hops. Sweet aftertaste. An excellent reference double IPA.

I didnít think I would ever find a better IPA than Bells two hearted but this might be it. Incredibly smooth despite the 9.0 abv. hoppy but not too hoppy despite being a double ipa. itís expensive but great.
