3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 writerljberg (224) - Oregon, USA - FEB 1, 201312 oz bottle, consumed during a respite from crib training. Joyousness.
A: Copper penny color. Aggressive pour yields fluffy foam that falls into itself quite quickly. Lasts on the rim.
N: Very sweet. A cornucopia of pineapple and mango as well as biscuits and honey. Floral components. Lots of toffee, and there’s a heavy barley that shows up - like a mass produced lager. (Ironically.)
T: Sweet bitterness. More pineapple, mango, and toffee. Lots of ’vine’, but not much earth. The pine is more of the nut than the cone. Biting crystalized sugars. Everything is intertwined but no one component stands out.
M: Somewhat light for the style. Alcohol is well hidden.
O: I have fond memories of this beer because it’s the one that got me into IPAs. That said, it’s the bridge between the former light lager types and the heavier styles, for which it might be unfairly maligned, but to a mature palate, it starts to lack when compared with the menagerie of options out there. It’s a stalwart and good in a pinch, though.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 jmagnus87 (1389) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - MAY 20, 2013
12oz bottle dated 4/1/13 poured into a snifter. Pours a clear, dark orange with a full two fingers of thick off-white head. Aroma of resins and citrus. Taste is medium bitter and light sweet. Boozy with citrus and caramel. Full nodied with a thick yet slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, great. I could drink this everyday.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Hartung32 (98) - Indiana, USA - MAY 19, 2013
Really good DIPA, but I'm not as impressed with it as I was years ago(before trying a lot more DIPAs). More malty and less hoppy then I remembered. Still a really good beer though.

Amazing beer, and a great IPA. Bought this after some debate to celebrate graduation, and couldn’t be happier with the result. Smooth, strong yet easy to drink with a fantastic taste.

Brilliant, relatively smooth with a little hoppy bite, complex but no overpowering elements...
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 dlihcsnatas (107) - Texas, USA - MAY 19, 2013
Good looking amber brew with a off white thick head. Smells of citrus and a hint of booze. Taste is about the same with some malt characteristics popping in every once in a while. It is a good imperial IPA but not sure if I would say the best for the price tag it has. Due to there are IPA’s out there just as good if not better with better prices on them I think this was my first and last 90 Minute Imperial IPA..

Bottle. Pours a beautiful copper. Off-white head with some staying. Nose is light with malt and alcohol predominating. Taste is the perfect combination of malt, moderate bitterness and light hops. This is a great IPA.

Pours a thick foamy head and an copper or amber color. Aroma is very floral with a touch of grapefruit, lemon, orange, grass, pine. Palate is thick bodied, tangy, sweet, orange. One of my shortest reviews but this is a great IPA but not as good as 120 minute. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
