Intensely hoppy and immensely drinkable, A Romantic Aromatic is brewed from American and British Malts, extravagantly hopped with only PNW varieties, and flavored with dried lemon slices. Following fermentation, the beer was dry-hopped at a rate of 2.5 pounds per barrel (thats a lot!) with whole hops offering an aromatic experience unlike any other.

On tap @ the brewpub-Cloudy golden pour w/a moderate white head. Floral hop /citrus aroma. Pine hop flavor w/a whole lot of citrus/lemon zest thrown in. Tasted lake an IPA & a hefe combined, I wouldn’t call this a great combination. If you want to make an IPA, make an IPA. If you want to make a fruit beer or a hefe, make a hefe. Long dry finish, glad I tried it, but I’d much rather drink a 90 minute than this.

On tap at Rehoboth Brewpub. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a creamy white head and that has nice retention. Big floral hop aroma with lemon zest and light fruity notes. Taste starts with sweet malts balanced by fruity and citrus hop flavors. Towards the end you pick up a big lemony zest and tart character. Aftertaste is bitter and lasting. A big lemon presence. Body is medium to heavy with mild carbonation.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy orange pour with a thin white head. A big hop slap in the face comes right out of the glass. Pine meets citrus, with a noticeable sweetness thanks to the high ABV. The flavor is a bit less enjoyable than the aroma. The hops are pretty pleasant, but the lemon slices give it an over the top dryness I couldnt quite wrap my head around. Barely a trace of alcohol, but man this is a dry finishing beer. Maybe I was just really thirsty at the time. Not one of my favorite DFH beers.

Tap. Pours hazy orange with an average, fizzy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, caramel, toasted), heavy hops (floral, grassy, citrus), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of alcohol, peach, pineapple, and lemon. Flavor is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, toasted, meal), heavy hops (grassy, pine, citrus), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of peach, pineapple, and lemon. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation, low creaminess with a dry and biting finish.
