Fine brew by DFH. Pours orange / yellow with small tan head. Aroma is sweet apricots and citrus hops. Very smooth, average carbonation. Finishes sticky sweet, with a light hop bite.

On tap half pint at Gilly's Craft Beer & Wine in Rockville, MD.
Clear, red oak color with a creamy off-white head and very good lacing.
Aroma of grass, citrus, light fruit and bread.
Taste of light fruit, floral hops, bread, light malt, apricot and citrus.
Medium/full body and medium/high carbonation.
I recall the original release of Apricot tasting like a fruit infused beer and was disappointed that Dogfish would release such a mundane fruit-flavored beer. The current version tastes like a slightly fruity IPA. Is it my memory or has Dogfish improved the recipe?

Color is amber, with a tan head. Aroma is hoppy, and sweet. Flavor starts out very fruity, definitely has an apricot flavor, finishes slightly bitter. Heavy, smooth, and yet very drinkable.

Tastes like a dogfish 60 min but with a hint of apricot. The fruit flavor isn’t too strong and as usual dogfish did it right. Typically I don’t care for brews that have a fruit infused flavor, but this one is done well.

Another miss from dogfish for me, very weak watery apricot flavor, totally missing any hop flavor indicative on an IPA, just really not much flavor at all. No hops, no bite, meh. Just doesnt taste like an IPA, that is why I bought it. Tastes like a weak fruity beer. Might be good to cook with.

Pours dark gold. Aroma is clearly apricot and some grassy spicy hop notes. Taste is strong on apricot but the hops used have a Taste of mango or sweet orange which meshes well with the apricot. Fairly one dimensional though which gets old after awhile. Props to dogfish for matching fruit with flavors and aromas from hops. I like the concept to accentuate the aromas and hops.

The apricot taste is extremely hard to detect ? Like many DFH brews has a sort of burnt taste. I have detected the burnt flavor in many of the DFH so called IPA’s. Although I am happy to have tried this one, I will not be hunting this one down again, overall not a fan of this beer and altgough i seem to be in the minority, in my personal opinion, not a huge fan of DFH.

Aroma: Definitely hoppy but not overly so. I don’t really pick up too much fruitiness - in a blind test most probably wouldn’t detect that it is brewed with Apricots by the nose.
Appearance: The head is a bout par with any other CO2 carbonated beer. Color has a slight reddish-orange to it.
Taste: Taste is scrumptious. It tastes like a solid IPA without being too much of a hop bomb and has an undertone from the fruit without being overpowering like a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat.
Palate: Crisp and hoppy, minor alcohol bite.
Overall: A great IPA and a fine Spring beer. The only things that prohibit it from being my go-to Spring beer is the price and abv.

Bottle 12 fl. oz. Bought at Halt Time (Poughkeepsie). Pours clear copper with rubish reflect. Aroma: intense hops, malt, apricot, other fruits (peach?). Taste is kind of disapointing, I don’t feel the apricot. Winey acidity. I think I prefer the Saint-Ambroise for an apricot beer.

Pours dark amber with thin white head. Nose is of sweet, citrus hops and fruit. Taste is slightly bitter with a nice malty, apricot finish. Slight hop bite at the end. Nice summer beer.
