The sweetness of the fruit combined with the bitterness of the hops creates a tasty treat. Gethinbeer (1001), Nova Scotia, Canada

Pours a clear orange with a brown/crimson tint with a medium sized white head that deflates steadily. Sweet fruity smell with almost a hint of champagne yeast, and a sweet fruity alcohol note Medium bodied and sweet with a nice lemony citrus component. Finishes sweet and a tad tart, with the crispness of fresh apricots, and almost a tinge of bitterness. brokephibroke (140), Mead, Colorado, USA

It is a sour brew for sure, with a lingering, but definate apricot finish. Could kick up the hops a bit. HolidayBeerGuy (50), Detroit, Michigan, USA

Nice aroma and a good balance at first blush give way to a fruity tartness that rips your throat out as you swallow. Was glad to finish the 4.5oz serving quickly, will not drink again. Final analysis: strong alcopop flavour with zero sweetness. satan165 (562), River Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 25, 2009 nose of bready malt and subtle fruit, apricots specifically apperance is copper. flavor is very well balanced, wonderul biscuity malt with no cloying malt sweetness. apricots are present but far from disturbing levels as seen in some similar beers. this is the improved version of magic hat #9 and one million other horrible fruit beers that cant find the balance of fruit, hops and malt. fruit is simple and clean and far from overwhelming, very pleasant and nearly sessionable.
