Very similar to your 60 min ipa but a little lighter in body and with a hint of apricot. Good beer, nice aroma to it, not as strong as other dogfish’s but still a solid beer that is great, medium body, small white head to the light amber color, the apricot flavor isn’t overpowering like many of the other fruit beers, well balanced with your hops

It’s about time a fruit beer tasted good. The apricot in this beer is perfect. Not a lot of fruit just the right amount. Mixed with a nice IPA was a great idea.

Pours a light amber with very thin white head. I was expecting more of a apricot flavor, and although it was there, it was quite subtle. Not as hoppy as I was expecting either. It was still enjoyable, but I didn’t get what I expected with this apricot IPA.

Standard Dogfish Head label, but in pretty peach and green hues, with a copper cap. Amber pour with a fading head. So what can this creative brewer do with apricots and hops? Make a lovely, flower garden aroma, for one thing. This probably does not get most beer drinkers hot and bothered, but I love the strong scent of apricots and floral hops rising from a beer glass. The taste is, as promised, a blend of apricots and IPA hops. The citrus sourness is noticable, and the 7% alcohol has some punch. Unfortunately, as in Dogfish Head’s India Brown Ale, the flavors do not mingle, and end up irritating each other instead. These are good quality ingredients, but they don’t really belong together. You are better off having a nice apricot wheat (like Ithaca or Pyramid) or a Dogfish Head IPA instead of this loony blend.

Pours a clear amber with a thin film white head. Aroma is lightly sweet fruit with just a hint of grain and some dough. Flavor is initially acidic then light malt and hops and then more acid only with a fruit undertone this time. Light to medium body, somewhat thin texture. Finishes bitter and fruity.

Balanced bitterness and sweetness. Very light body, goes down easy. Apricots sweetness is very subtle but noticable. Much better than other fruit beers that I have tried.

Draft - shaker pint glass at Beavers in Houston, TX. Pour is clear orange golden with not much off white head. Aroma of floral hops and very fresh apricots. Flavor was more IPA initially, with the floral hoppiness and nice sweet malt, with the apricots reappearing mid palate, through to the finish. The apricots really accented the IPA, rather than distracting. The palate is full for an IPA with the fruit sweetness very much coating the mouth. This was really drinkable and satisfying, fun to drink.
