Dissapointed with this. Not much depth here and no surprises. the apricots do not do much for the aroma as you can barely smell it and really overall the rest of the beer is like that as well. Nothing outstanding about this beer.

Bottle. One finger head on orange body. Aroma is ripe apricots. Flavor is juicy apricot sweetness, malt, a little tart with some bitterness. The other flavors don’t seem to complement the dominant apricot flavor that well.

Bottle. Poured coppery red with a small lively white head. Aroma of fresh apricot and floral hops. Slightly sweet fruity taste, offset nicely by the hops that follow. Alcohol is well-hidden. Not overly complex, but pretty enjoyable and drinkable. A little pricey, however. Good stuff.

Interesting, but I just don’t think this style lends much to additions. The apricot isn’t super obvious, it just seems to add a sweetness that upsets the balance or expected hop presence.

Nose leaves something to be desired but flavor does not. I’m usually not a big apricot fan but I like the pairing with the bitter hops. An interesting flavor profile emerges from the two and one that makes the beer very drinkable at 7%.

Tap at Bier Stein. Pours a bright orange with a small, tight white head. Aroma is light apricot with other citrus fruit hops and light pine and caramel malt. Flavor is a little heftier on the apricot which complement the hops pretty well. Little bit of bitterness on the finish but all in all not bad for what it is.

On tap at Washington Brewers’ Fest 2009. I was really excited about this because they were pouring it through a Randall filled with apricots and Cascades. Great idea, but unfortunately it wasn’t that impressive. Pours mostly clear orange amber with a small off-white head. Really weak apricot nose. Flavor was much better, with apricot, citrus/grassy hops and caramel. Clean and crisp with an abrupt finish of apricot and citrus.
