albertane (376), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Apr 18, 2008 Draught at Barcade, Brooklyn, New York. I’m not a big fruit beer fan, but this one is pretty good, although not a patch on Dogfish Head’s 60 Minute IPA. scrizzz (1252), kirkland, Washington, USA Apr 18, 2008 light bronze color, soapy sparse head fell quickly. dried apricot aroma. my kinda fruit beer! rich and dried apricot initially and on the finish, fresh crunchy hops come through, but barely. nothing sticky or overly sweet about the fruit. MrStitch (138), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with a two finger head that disappears quickly and leaves little lacing. Aroma is light some malt with a little hops and minimal fruit sent but an odd overlying metallic smell. Taste was bland not much of the hops coming through a bit of the apricot and a little malt. Overall I’m not impressed at all with this beer... not one that I will recommend or try again. djd07 (724), Houston, Texas, USA Apr 17, 2008 On tap at Flying Saucer. Has an amber color with a medium off white head. The aroma is citrus and floral hops. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a very sweet hop with a fruity finish. My least favorite Dogfish brew. jpaliga10 (7), Indiana, USA does not count Apr 16, 2008 Pours extremely clear with a light orange tone. Fine white head with good lacing and retention. VERY sweet, strong apricot finish. Balance of flavor was skewed toward a sweetness that was not well-balance by the lacking hop profile. octopossum (2), Denton, Texas, USA does not count Apr 13, 2008 Nice orangish color and floral aroma. Not as hoppy as other dogfish brews, but balanced perfectly with the citrus and sweetness. And the apricot is not overpowering. The 7% abv is easy to forget with a beer as smooth and crisp. An easy drink on a warm afternoon. matt7215 (942), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Apr 13, 2008 12 oz bottle from a trade with GMCC2181. pours orangish/brown with a nice off white head. aromas are swirls of hoppy apricot. flavours are the same. basically the bottle tells you exactly what your getting here. a nice summer brew that i could drink piles of. smashteroid (227), USA Apr 11, 2008 Served cold from bottle. Pours amber with a medium fluffy off-white head. Aroma is hops and apricot. The taste is highlighted by citrus notes and some hops. Very easy to drink, crisp and delicious. Definitely one of the better fruit beers I’ve ever had, and it packs a small punch with the 7% abv.
