SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Jan 24, 2008 Copper in color with a thin to medium head. As expected there were lots of apricots in this one with nice caramel and hops. While not a huge fruit beer fan this was a nice one. ogglethorp (882), Ohio, USA Jan 22, 2008 Bottle. Pous a clear copper color with a medium sized off white head. Aroma is apricots, floral hops, ligh caramel. Flavor is light caramel, apricots, citrus. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finishes bitter and fruity. Decent. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Jan 9, 2008 12 oz. bottle pours a clear copper color with a thin head. Floral hop and caramel smell with a whiff of alcohol. Rich, creamy mouthfeel with good carbonation. Taste is a mix of burnt sweet caramels and grapefruit tart hops. Has a spicy yeasty alcohol finish.
More IPA than fruit beer here.
Reminds me of a smaller, more drinkable version of Immort ale. Pretty good.

valpoaj (362), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA Jan 8, 2008 Pours a murky brownish, orangey-red color (yeah, very unique if you really look at it) with a thin white head that doesn’t stick around long. Aroma is nice and different...mostly citrusy hops, but there’s some ’other’ fruit in there as well, including the apricots of course. Flavor is pretty good...sweet and fruity up front, then the hop bitterness kicks in. Ends slightly bitter with some lasting sweetness...a nice roller coaster. Apricot is evident up front and in the aftertaste, but there is a nectar-like flavor as soon as the ale hits your tongue. Nice level of carbonation...a very nice deviance from a traditional IPA; wouldn’t hesitate to snag this up again! drseamus (103), Troy, New York, USA Dec 24, 2007 This beer was almost exactly one year old when I drank it.
A: It has an amber body with a 3/4 inch white head that fell pretty quickly. There is a bunch of visible carbonation and some sediment floating in the glass.
S: There is a good citrus hop aroma off of this with a bit of fruit in the background.
T: This is a pretty good tasting beer. There are both good hop and malt flavors. I would say that the hop level is a bit low for a DFH IPA, but it is still a good beer. The apricot isn’t very prevalent...I can only really taste it very slightly at the end blended in with some sweetness. This is a very balanced beer.
M: The beer has a good light medium body and is very refreshing. I decided to drink it on one of the first nice days so far this year.
D: This will be a great summertime beer. It has some decent fruit characteristic which I imagine will be stronger in a fresh beer. The nice thing about this beer is that it isn’t sickly sweet like other fruity beers. The hops cut the sweetness and provide a nice balance. doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Dec 22, 2007 Had this one for breakfast, it was great, much better than the 60 Minute IPA I had to go along with it. It pours an absolutely stunning orangish/amber color, with a head of somewhat larger bubbles. Smells of apricot and hops. Tastes sweet but not too sweet. Tastes just like the bottle states. A true IPA brewed with apricots. You get the fruit fruit and the hoppy fruit too. Pretty standard amber beer palate. Carbonation is just right. Like I said I had two for breakfast beginning at 8:30am and it was a good call. Of course I had to keep drinking all day, but I’ve got no problem with that. Snojerk321 (1917), San Diego, California, USA Dec 20, 2007 bottle. Apihop poured a beautiful burnt orange amber, head was thin, creamy and off white. Nose was BIG on apricots, floral hops, some yeast as well. A strong perfume essence was strong also. Really nice clean apricot flavor as well. Even though it says 7%, its hidden very well. A great fruit brew! MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA Dec 14, 2007 Bottle. Pours a darker amber with small head. Subdued aromas of citrus and treelike hops along with dust and paper. Flavor is fairly lively with herbal and leafy hop flavors as well as an everpresent light apricot fruitiness. Sweeter at times but still has a bready maltiness and ever present hop induced bitterness. It’s pretty well done but not really a flavor that suits my tastebuds. I’m not apricot hater, but no apricot lover either.
