Apricots are there although not at all overpowering. Malty aroma, not heavy on the hops. Taste finished a little sweet. A different take on an IPA...I like it, but Dogfish Head has some better ones out there. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2007 For an IPA, I’d expect more head. Poured with a smallish head. Taste backbone was similar to 60m IPA but with Apricots readily discernable. I’m not a fan, usually, of fruity beers, but this was not overdone. I liked this beer quite a bit. Very refreshing taste. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA

Aroma of citrus hops and fruit. Sweet taste of apricot and citrus with a dry pine-tinged finish. A nice addition to a category that tends to produces beer I either love or hate.
My original rating of this beer was a 3.3, but I tried it thru a Randall loaded with hops and apricots... what a difference! KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 7, 2007 Dark amber color. Smell of hops, brown sugar, honey, citrus and malt. Taste of hops, malt, citrus, candy, sugar, some apricot taste and a nice bitterness at the end. Not like their other IPA’s but still enjoyable. badlizard (2409), Berkeley, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 6, 2007 Clear golden with fizzy white head. Apricot and hoppy aroma. Sweet apricot taste mixed with an IPA taste, a pretty interesting beer. crushinat0r (227), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Dark amber in colour with a thin light head. Sweet, very light apricot taste. Hoppy, a little too much for an apricot ale. Not the best apricot beer I’ve had, and certainly nothing special. Was kind of surprised considering the brewery (I normally really enjoy Dog Fish Head) DirtyMartini (194), Los Angeles, Alabama, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 31, 2007 wow...this is much easier drinking then i remember it. i remember it being really hoppy (but then again i was in my phase where all hoppy beers were overpowering). drinking this bottle makes me wonder if i got an old bottle. the hops are muted and the apricot is pronounced. that said this is really refreshing and rather delicious. i do want to get another fresh bottle though so i can see how with my new palate the hops and apricots interplay.
