riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jun 4, 2007 Total natural apricot aroma. Did not get alot of hoppiness here, as this was pretty strong. Poured a golden orange. Flavor wa initial fruity apricot followed by a nice intense peppery, citrus bitterness. Very smooth, somewhat resiny on the palate, but it was easy to drink. One of the best fruit beers I have ever had for sure! tomthompson89 (1459), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 4, 2007 had on tap at the Brewpub. WOW an IPA fruit beer!! so nice and clean on the palate, good summer beer good golden color, good citrus hop notes and the apricot is evident but not overpowering. Good malts, one of the best fruit beers i have tried. ChainGangGuy (2523), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Jun 4, 2007 Appearance: Pours a bright orangey-copper color with a profusive, fizzy white head.
Smell: Floral, sprucey aroma with a light, thin apricot fruitiness to it.
Taste: Light toasted caramel sweetness. Mild sour apricot juiciness devlops in the middle. Dull grassy hop flavor. Slightly metallic. Finishes quite dry.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with a very tingly, spritzy carbonation.
Drinkability: Creative idea, but this one didn’t really grab me. I simply found it to be a bit wanting in both categories: IPA bitterness and apricots. TheCheeseMan (538), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA Jun 3, 2007 Definite apricot nose, hoppiness is peaking through. Nice balance, flavor is still a tad on the sweet side. Great summer beer. pintocb (508), Darsville, Georgia, USA Jun 1, 2007 Coppery color. Odd nose. Spicey. I expected a more extreme taste from a DFH brew. Like an IPA that’s unfinished. SuzyGreenberg (1318), Seattle, Washington, USA May 28, 2007 12 oz. bottle - pours dark gold with slight white head and minor lacing; nice apricot aromas and flavors; taste comes off a little bitter emerica56 (575), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA May 27, 2007 This beer pours a nice golden head with a clear amber color. It has a sweet smell of mild hops and hints of fruit mainly apriocots. As you drink it you can taste the sweet and strong apricot flavor and bitter sweet hops. joe1510 (501), Illinois, USA May 26, 2007 12oz. Bottle

Aprihop poured crystal clear dirty copper into my pint glass. A 2 finger head formed on the pour that fell to a dense 1finger of creaminess. Very few carbonation bubbles but what is there are large and slow rising. Head leaves spotty lacing.
I love the smell of this beer. Right up front there’s a big juicy earthy apricot aroma. Biscuity malts are in the back and actually a little hard for me to pick out. Grassy hops on the backend. Makes my mouth water.
Flavor seems somewhat simple but is so unique from the use of apricots. Biscuity malts are somewhere in the background but the apricot steals the show and lasts throughout the finish. Mildly tart. The grassy herbal hops come through late on the swallow with a pleasant bitterness.
Medium bodied with lower than normal carbonation. The lower carbonation works nicely with this beer letting the apricots cover all surfaces of the tongue and cheeks.
Highly drinkable brew from Dogfish Head. The 7%abv is a little high to be truly sessionable but I don’t mind giving it a shot.
Another very good and unique beer from Dogfish Head. Some of their experimental beers are hit or miss but Aprihop is definately a winner.
