Willeyone22 (23), Yardley, Pennsylvania, USA May 16, 2007 A beer drinker’s summer beer. Aroma of apricot and citrus. Taste of an IPA, with a mild apricot finish. The hops will keep the experienced beer drinker happy. MadIndian (987), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA May 14, 2007 Updated: May 15, 2007Bottle from State Line. Interesting Orange pour with fluffy white head. Slight hoppy aroma cluttered with apricots. Good sweet to alcohol blend.
Not a bad brew. Thanks Dennis Bell. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA May 11, 2007 Updated: Apr 4, 2009hmm..?..Pours a dark brown rust colour...nice constant white cream head...lacing is very good.. is kinda refreshing but lacks character, bitters and apricots...a letdown by a far gap, being from DFH. I felt like a beer with nice hops (DFH right?) but this had a muddled balance..
2009 release.. wow, terrible, light aromas, thin thin mouth, muddled even more than last release, DFH i got huge love but this was a kick in the mind, mouth and most importantly in this day and age, my fuckin wallet.. this is gross!
avoid!!! BeerBaronLS (85), Grove City, Ohio, USA May 10, 2007 Had this on tap at Dogfish Head Ale house in MD. Not big on fruit beer usually, so was tentative to try. The apricot is not overwhelming (my biggest complaint of most fruit beers), and was a very interesting complement to the hops. Not my favorite of the brand, but definitely drinkable. rsauermann (38), Arlington, Texas, USA May 9, 2007 My first bad experience from DFH. Pale yekllow color. Slight apricot aroma, but very little to no flavor at all. Should take ’hop’ out of the name, because I just didnt taste any. fattibobatti (246), Tallahassee, Florida, USA May 8, 2007 this was an exciting IPA being as it differs fairly in taste. it pours a pretty amber color, strong hops aroma like expected. the twist really is the apicots. this ipa is unusually sweet but still packed with hops. it was smooth balanced enough that my girlfriend drank and bottle and she hates my IPA addiction. GEOBRAU (182), Mesa, Arizona, USA May 8, 2007 A really good IPA first and foremost. The apricot compliments the beer nicely which is a rarity in the fruit beer category. Derek881 (486), Frederick, Maryland, USA May 8, 2007 Poured into pint glass from bottle. Cloudy amber color with medium-sized, bubbly off-white head. Aroma was fruity, with apricot scents obviously, and had some floral and perhaps citrus hops, with a bit of caramel malt and some light nutmeg and brown sugar. Taste was sweet and fruity early, giving way to a bitter alcohol finish. The beer was fizzy with good carbonation, had a light mouthfeel, with some spicyness, and a dry finish.
