mistersinalin (367), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA May 27, 2009 This was just the thing to get me ready for an evening of fine dining. It wasn’ too heavy, to bitter, too sweet, or too boozy. The balance of fruit and hop was spot on for an early summer cooler with enough refinement to precede great cuisine. Maddog (231), Kettering, Ohio, USA May 27, 2009 I have always been skeptical about trying this beer, but more often than not, DFH has been able to come through for me. With that being said, this beer lacks in the ipa department AND the fruit department. It has a nice appearance with a dark, clear amber body with a long lasting head, but the aroma is almost non-existent. This beer starts with a hint of tart fruit and malt and finishes with some hop crispness. It is refreshing and a decent ale, but certainly not something that I would buy regularly. mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA May 27, 2009 Bottle pours medium golden amber with a slightly caramel and fruit aroma. Light hop with alot of sweet and sour fruit in it. Bitterness is overpowered by the fruit. Tastes more like a sour lemonade than apricots. altehkiller (71), , California, USA May 26, 2009 strange brew. like a mild ipa with a mild sweetness of apricots thrown in. mingles better with the hops than you would think. General66 (164), Streator, Illinois, USA May 25, 2009 12 ounce bottle. I was excited to try this beer... DFH has always made a quality brew and I was looking forward to trying something new. Pours a amber color with a one finger width white frothy head that disappears quickly. The aroma consisted of some hints of flowers, citrus, and faint apricot. There was also a sweet sugary hint to it. The taste consists of light hops, citrus, subtle hops, and some light caramel malt. Finishes a bit sour. Overall this was an interesting beer... I am glad I had the chance to try it but it is nothing that I would continuously seek out. Ryan82SM (231), Louisville, Kentucky, USA May 24, 2009 Surprising hop aroma for a fruit beer with a more muted apricot presence. Appearance is orangish peach with a light, creamy head. The flavor is also mostly dominated by hops, but with apricot, citrus and white grape. Palate is creamy and bubbly. Interesting beer that stands as a good spring\summer brew. BNSLY (43), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA May 19, 2009 From bottle. Overall it is a tasty beer. A little sour for me. nice color, smell the hops coming thru. good beer if you like a fruit beer. bconley (351), Fern Park, Florida, USA May 19, 2009 Tasted sample that was through a randal system. The smell was mostly hops because of the randal, but the taste was nice and sweet from the apricots. Citrusy hops gave a really nice bitter flavor. Was really cool.
