Looks exactly like an apricot IPA should - hazy pale orange. Booming, frothy, pale orange head; very creamy with lovely thick lacing. Smells distinctly hoppy with subtle dried fruit esters contributing toward a sweet floral aroma. First taste impression is that this tastes like a moderately mellow IPA; reminds me of Sweetwater’s IPA. Lively and hoppy when it first hits the palate, but the dried fruit ensemble helps back off the initial hop/carbonation blast. The unmistakable traces of apricots help add some other underlying flavors, such as citrus and cedar elements, and eventually evolve the beer to be more warming. That’s also when the familiar Dogfish Head ABV twang comes through and is most perceptible. Overall, I’d say that this beer is 85% IPA, 15% fruit beer. Unique and enjoyable.

on tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. Prefer this much more than Magic Hat #9 Crisp hop flavor. Apricots don’t dominate like in #9.Still don’t like apricots though

This is beer #600! Orangish red appearance. The flavor is hoppy comprable to the 60 minute. The taste is bitter but mainly sour with only a hint of apricots. I taste pears in there for some reason. A good one to share with fellow Ratebeerians at the GA gathering.

bottle. pours a rusted tan with a nice beige head. aroma is gunpowder and apricots. taste light spices and some slight apricot sweetness, nice bitter on the back end. the hops come through more there. grassy hop throughout this, but it is not as bold as i expected from this brewery, but it still burns my tongue in the end just like i did expect. an enjoyable brew.

On tap at Sacramento Brewing. This amber ale poured with a thick beige head and a bready fruit aroma. There is a very noticeable apricot flavor with a bitter hop finish. This is a tasty fruit beer.

12 oz bottle from Trooper11. Clear, bubbly amber pour with a creamy off white head. Nose is all apricot and citrusy hops, so I guess the name fits. Flavor has a solid caramel malt backbone, plus a good quantitiy of leafy, citrusy hops, actually balanced well with a mild apricot fruity sweetness. The caramel and apricot shine through well in the finish. I remember having this before, and not liking it. Now, I’m not sure why. Very nice.

Enormous, sudsy head took me by surprise... left alot of lace before I even got the chance to sip. Reddish-coppery body. Aroma was all about the apricot, with some caramel malt and a little alcohol. Fruity hopped flavor with a sour middle and a sweet, syrupy finish. Better on a cool & cloudy spring day than a warm & sunny one, as it had a nice warming quality. Really good. (Still has a 3/4-inch head just sitting there... on the bottom of the glass!)
