A strong IPA brewed with real apricots and finished with whole leaf Willamette and Cascade hops.

The smell gives clues to the origin of the name, the apricot smell coming to the front immediately. To understand the taste first imagine an IPA, then imagine adding fruitiness without excess. The result is a balanced, drinkable, fruity IPA.

Pours a nice copper color with a limited white head. Aroma of pine, apricots. The taste surprised me. I thought it would be sweet, fruity, and it is not. This is a good IPA with a pleasant, light, apricot flavor. The IPA stands up well, with bitterness of the hops offsetting the fruit.

Medium copper pour with a sizeable off white head. Floral, piney familiar IPA aroma with a very nice sweet apricot note. First one was a bit underwhelming - mostly IPA with a pleasing apricot angle. Nothing much. A few days later I let another one sit for 20 mins and the flavors really opened up. Sweet, heavy floral-apricot with a beautifully bitter balance. Not too complicated, pronounced natural apricot flavor that really delivered. Very much enjoyed this beer.

Mixed aroma of fresh floral hops and some juicy sweetness. Pours copper with disappearing head. Taste is hoppy with some fruit aftertaste. Dry. Medium bodied. Not my favorite. Was expecting a bit more juiciness, don’t drink it too cold or you’ll miss it.

Pours a clear copper color with a white head. Aromas of citrus and hop. Taste of citrus apricots and hops. Not to bitter finish.

Dark clear copper color with off white head. Very nice looking beer in the glass. Aroma of apricots and a hint of pine. Taste is like a good IPA (something like 60min) pairs with extra apricot flavor. Melds better than a shandy. Nice drink, a hint too sweet but forgivable.

Aroma of citrus and a himt of malt and fruit. Pours a clear caramel color no head very little carbonation. Taste of fruit and hops dry light bodied with a slightly chalky finish.

12 oz bottle. 2015. It has a good way about it. The floral fruit note there and a spark note gives a nice kick then. Sweet but good sweet mostly; good maybe bittersweet even. Like the little bite there and the tight crisp notes that flourish.

Sample. Medium gold in color. Slightly watery. Not much flavor either from apricots or hops. Not an objectionable beer, but not much memorable about it.

Aroma is just what I expected; possibly a little sweeter. Apricot, DFH signature hop scent and some brown sugar. Beautiful amber color with a tiny amount of white foam. Hoppy, tasty IPA but other than a slight showing in the aftertaste, I cannot detect any apricot. False advertising - there is no way this should be classified as a fruit beer. Overall pretty good, but DFH has set the bar so high for me. More apricot please.

Pours amber with a nice two finger head. Aroma is malt heavy with light notes of tropical fruit on top. Taste is citrus. Apricot is present but subtle. Medium bitterness. Overall good but doesn’t really grab me.
