Being a huge fan of Dogfish Head beers and not a fan of IPAs created a pickle for me. Iím glad I tried this beer. Orangish-amber in the glass with a small white head that leaves decent lacing. Aroma of hops, a little apricot, and a bit of a burnt smell. Strong but smooth all the way through. Lots of hops, some malt, and of course the apricot. Finishes very smooth for such a strong alcohol content. Another good beer from a great brewer.

Pours a clear copper color. Thin white head with no lacing. Apricot and pine aroma. A tart and malty start with a lively carbonation finish. Not much on hop flavor. Light bitterness lingers.

On tap. Copper color with one finger head. Citrus and slight apricot aroma. Taste is similar with slight pine. Sweet, pretty good.

This beer smelled of bready malt, fruit, and floral hops. A nice smoothe, medium body with satisfying carbonation. It has a very nicely balanced flavor of fruity tartness and hop bitterness.

Draught at hopping pig. Clear copper. Aroma of apricot, citrus, pine, caramel. Taste is sweet and bitter. Palate is tangy, crisp, good amount of dryness.

Pours two fingers of head on a clear dark straw body. The aroma is lots of apricot and a little pine. The taste starts sweet, a mild bitter middle, then a sweet finish. The texture is crisp and fizzy. Itís tasty. The apricot plays well here.

This is a very good beer, with a kick. Grew on me with each bottle I tried. The apricots give it a very nice balanced flavor which slightly offsets the bitterness of the pale ale. Suprisingly light for the alcohol content and compared to some other of the dogfish brews. Sort of a cross between an IPA and American pale ale, with some apricots of course.

From the bottle... Excellent flavor...a little sweet, hoppy, but not too much to take away from the flavor...
