doubleo (834), San Diego, California, USA Dec 22, 2007 Had this one for breakfast, it was great, much better than the 60 Minute IPA I had to go along with it. It pours an absolutely stunning orangish/amber color, with a head of somewhat larger bubbles. Smells of apricot and hops. Tastes sweet but not too sweet. Tastes just like the bottle states. A true IPA brewed with apricots. You get the fruit fruit and the hoppy fruit too. Pretty standard amber beer palate. Carbonation is just right. Like I said I had two for breakfast beginning at 8:30am and it was a good call. Of course I had to keep drinking all day, but I’ve got no problem with that.
Drink4Satan (478), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Oct 3, 2008 Pours a clear orange colour with a thin, off-white head that clings to the sides of the glass. The nose hits you immediately with, you guessed it, apricots, and they’re pretty authentic smelling, like those organic fruit roll-ups. There isn’t much else to the aroma, as it is very one dimensional. The flavour is also rather one-dimensional, but its full of apricot flavour as advertised. There are some citric hops. The finish is long, fruity and a bit artificial, yet they claim ’brewed with real apricots.’ The booze is very well hidden for such a light beer, but eh....nothing special. kapusta (72), Dover, Delaware, USA Sep 28, 2008 strong sweet smell of apricot/peach. Tast was hoppy and artifically sweet. Nice head and decent color afireinside96 (498), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 21, 2008 12 oz bottle served without a glass. Sniffing the bottle revealed a sweet syrupy apricot smell along with a touch of c-hops. Fresh apricot taste that blends with the sweet caramely backbone and light hoppyness, a bit too sweet. It was good but I tired of drinking it 2/3 of the way through the bottle. hillfiiiiire (211), Atoka, Tennessee, USA Sep 18, 2008 Pours an amber with a nice foamy head. Smells a bit like a vomity lager though. Sweet, sweet, sweet apricot in flavor that is not at all appeasing. Just sweet all around here. Nice full body though, but the sweetness was just too much for me. bretupdegraff (101), Fishers, Indiana, USA Sep 15, 2008 Good tasting beer. Very drinkable- fruit beer - what can I say. Not as fruity as I thought it would be (and that is a plus) -It hid the higher ABV very well - reminds me of a Gewurztraminer wine.
