Appearance: great appearance: burnt golden hue with a full inch frothy white head which does not dissipate at all....magnificant carbonation bubbles throughout the buody Smell: I wouldn’t say that there is much of an apricot aroma....definitely sweet candy fruit though.... Taste: a bit of apricot but not much at all....great peppery hopped out pine feel to the palate...bitter and dry but not too much...definite sweetness kicks in at times.... Notes: it says IPA on the bottle and it definitely tastes like one...I see no reason to label the style as it is when even the bottle says its an IPA..and a fairly nice one as well...not maginificant....but a good session beer every once and a while

Draft. Bronze color with off-white head and some lacing. Malt aroma. Tastes more like an amber ale. Apricot not all that noticeable; hole flavor underwhelming. Overall, disappointing, especially for Dogfish Head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear brown. Not a whole lot of flavor. For really notice the apricots. Definitely drinkable but nothing special.

On draught. Sweet hoppy/apricot aroma. Deep bronze in colour with a solid white head. Mild and sweet hoppy flavour with apricot notes. Medium bodied. Some malts in the finish.

Golden in color. Aromas of apricot, citrus and caramel. Flavors of citrus with apricot and hints of caramel . Moderately bittersweet on the palate.

Bottle. Deep orangey-gold pour, medium off-white head. Nose is caramelly malt, some grain, and dried apricot with a hint of wet cardboard. Mouth is more of the same. I dig me some DFH brew, but this particular one is average at best. Just an FYI... this is not a Fruit Beer. Besides being misclassified (this is an IPA) ’fruit beer’ is the stupidest (and laziest) fucking category on RateBeer.

Pours an amber-golden with a creamy light tan head. Tangy nose. Full, soft mouthfeel with some scrubbing carbonation. I pick up the apricot flavor. Some citrus gets involved as well. A little confusing on the palate, but not bad.

Bottle. Pours a orange color with white head. Apricot, slight soapy, grainy aromas. Apricot, old apples, herbal hop flavors.

Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is fruity malt, apricot, and pine. Flavor is sweet caramel malt with some fruit notes and slight apricot flavors. Finishes with earthy, pine hops.

Amber pour, quick white head. Nose is caramel malt, whiff of alcohol. Bitter. Middle is malt backbone, very soft apricots, something vaguely vegetal. Finish shows bitterness from alcohol and hops. Not my favorite Dogfish offering.

Aroma is sweet malty and fruity. There’s not that much in the aroma that gives away the apricots though. Taste is heavy and distinct. Caramels and malts sets like a lump of wood in the center of the mouth, and it’s not super hoppy but the hops are there. I was expecting much more apricots in here, they are there, but they don’t take over. In the aftertaste I actually catch a sting of alcohol, but the pleasant bitterness weighs more and this is an excellent beer. Not the best, but really good.
