3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle via SL... Funky amber, brown color. Not much head. Aroma of musky grapes, spices, honey, nuts and flowers. Taste is musky grapes, light flowers, honey, nuts and raisons. Not bad, just different. Body is on the lighter side but far from watery. Overall: Unique but glad I shared the bottle with a friend..... aka wolf man!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bronze pour. Aroma of Pomegranite, wheat, white wine. Pomegranite and wheat dominate at first, Raisin, orange, spices, slight nuttiness. Getting honey sweetness as it warms. medium body. lower carbonation. Not worth going out of your way for or avoiding, but fairly unique.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A weird beer for sure. I get some of the pomegranate up front which I like, but the strange grains give it a funkiness and a little bit of heaviness as well. Certainly could drink another, but itís definitely a strange brew, but keeping with my likes, I have pretty much liked every pomegranate beer Iíve had.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, poured into wine glass. Dark amber, good head, fine bubbles. Getting some Belgian spicing, honey is apparent as well. Appears well made but not my cup of tea.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
750ml bottle. Pour is a semi-clear copperish red color with a finger of white bubbly head. Aroma is quite interesting. I tell you, it smells like a muscle cream. Iím guessing it comes from the yeast. I do get the pomegranate and honey too though. Mouth has a little bitterness in the front but pretty smooth forward. Notes of honey, citrus, bread and pomegranates. Not entirely bad and the aroma is definitely surprising.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a slightly hazy copper color with a thin head that faded quickly. Aroma is quite fruity with grapes and pomegranate. Slightly metallic as well with honey. Taste is pretty unusual. Tastes very metallic and dry with fruity notes. Lots of cheesy and doughy notes. Slightly acidic. Finish has grapes, copper, and more cheese with honey. Overall itís very interesting, but not the greatest. The flavors are a little strange.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2012A, 750 ml into a DFH signature glass. Ugh....another ancient ale that I must tick...
A - Pours a dark brown/red body. Very clear with some rising carbonation. Bronze? Eh, close enough. Three fingers of very dense bone white foam forms and disappears rather quickly. Leaves behind a thin soda like cap of awkwardly large bubbles. Moderate lacing with weak retention.
S - Well, theres a lot happening here. Not in the "woah, this beer is uber complex" way either. Just in the way that several very different aromas get to clash it up in my nostrils. I donít even know. Its nutty and sweet, with some herbal and savory notes. Mix in a bit of burnt plastic as well.
T - Again, just a cavalcade of question marks and nonsense. Starts off with some honey sweetness ala Midas Touch but with a bit of tart pomegranate fruit, then a wave of nutty flavors, then it all gets hit in the face with an odd savory tea/herbal like quality on the end. Its drinkable enough, just weird.
M - Thin to medium bodied with a decent carbonation.
O - Just another one of those silly ancient ales. Much, much better than the travesty that was Ta Drainpour, but this is still not a great beer. I might be tired of the beer history lessons because Iíve yet to have one of these beers that warrants a repeat purchase. Decent enough beer, but just wildly confusing in all aspects.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle pours deep amber with large tan head. Sweet, citrusy aroma. Flavors of tart pomegranates, slightly sweet raisins, honey, and hazelnuts with a nicely balanced hop finish. Very unique, thoroughly enjoyed.
