COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION This is a well balanced amber colored ale with a clean hoppy finish. The malt bill included some Munich malt to add a nice bready flavor as well as some Crystal malt for a touch of sweetness (not too sweet!) and a pinch of Carafa III for color. Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand give the beer a unique, fruity (almost grapelike) aroma and flavor. Southern Cross hops (also from NZ) provide just enough bitterness to balance the complex malt profile. We chose Chico yeast to keep the beer fairly dry (not icky!) and to give us some subtle fruity esters while letting the other ingredients shine through. This beer will pair nicely with a juicy wood grilled burger.
